I am happy to vouch for Andrew Shear. I have done several transactions with him regarding expensive watches, and in addition to be able to find great examples in outstanding condition, he is a great guy to deal with.

Thanks for the referral Thomas. Need one more reference for Andrew Shear from someone here who's purchased a watch from him and had a happy transaction to put in a green star.

I purchased my 1655 Orange Hand Exp II Rail Dial from Andrew Shear. I am very pleased with the watch. I found him very knowledgable and easy to work with. This watch holds a special place in my collection. It is for these reasons that I recommend Andrew to people that are looking to buy a vintage Rolex.

I purchased my NOS 1665 MK IV DRSD from Eric Ku. I am very pleased with the watch. Eric was very helpful and easy to work with throughout the deal. This watch is very special to me. It is for these reasons and his knowledge of vintage Rolex that I recommend Eric to people considering a vintage purchase.

Thanks for the update Burswood. Have added you and florianw to the "Purchase Reference list" list below.
Welcome Ralle aka rallepeng to the hall of green star fame:) 1) Mark Lerman (mark@webstorm.com) [*] 2) Jed aka Jedly1(http://www.thetimetraveler.co/) [*] 3) Erik Ku (http://10pastten.com/) [*] 4) Ben (nbtimes@gmail.com ) [*] 5) Jacek Kozubek - jacek.kozubek@gmail.com - San Francisco CA , hqmilton.com [*] 6) Andrew Shear: andrew@sheartime.com/Website:sheartime.com [*] 7) Ralle aka rallepeng www.vintage-watches-international.com [*] 8) Steve Mulholland (http://www.mulhollandtime.com/) 9) Mike wood (Www.theoldwatchshop.com ) 10) Paul Seregin-seregins.com 11) Derek Dier- http://www.watchestobuy.com/ 12) coolvintagewatches.com 13) Zaf Basha-finertimes.com 14) http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/ 15) Ken Jacobs (wannabuyawatch.com ) 16) Joshua Bonifas: Fourtane.com 17) Eric Iskin- Oldetown@sonic.net- Santa Rosa, CA- Olde Towne Jewelers 18) Jeff Barnard: http://www.bernardwatch.com/ in Texas 19) Wingate's: http://www.tic-tock.com/wingates/ in Texas A green (*) against a dealers name indicates that atleast 2 forumers have purchased vintage watches from a dealer here, have received them and are happy. So if atleast 2 of you have purchased a vintage watch from any of the dealers in the list, have received it and are happy with the purchase please say so here so can update the dealers name with a green (*).Also note that a single forumer purchasing 2 or more watches from a seller will be considered as one reference and not two. Purchase Reference list: Besides the green star rating, for added green star rating accuracy, refer to this "Purchase Reference list" to get a feel of the quality of watches forumers here have purchased from their respective sellers by looking up their historic threads for posted watch pictures and making inquiries on the forum. Mark Lerman (ezinternet, cruvon) Jedly (Steelerfan65,bb3188) Eric Ku (ddrees,steelerfan65,skyedog,Beaumont Miller II) Ben (Jason71,yessir69,desfrie) Jacek (ezinternet,Submarino,Mark020) Andrew Shear (Steelerfan65,Tcaviglioli,Beaumont Miller II,bluemartinfan) Ralle (florianw,Burswood) NB: While this list serves to collate all vintage watch dealers forumers have possibly dealt with (from fellow forumers comments above) in one place, it in no way is a measure of the quality/originality of the watches that are on sale with them. Please conduct your own due diligence before you make any purchases by asking questions on the forum, posting pictures, getting references, etc. Also please notify us of any concerns and if the forumers agree I can take them off this list.

I have also bought from Steve Mulholland. The watch was really great, the clasp a little out of shape. Mentioned this to Steve and he shipped a replacement clasp, no questions asked. Would buy from him again. The test is how people act when there is an issue; Steve was really good.

I also purchased a watch from Steve Mulholland. Great watch. An old 5513. Nice guy to deal with.
Don't know if you're still updating this but if so you can "star" Steve. |
