The Ploprof is a very cool piece but the DSSD would be an easy decision for me. And I'd go D Blue!

Or even crazier, the white dial PP. It looks amazing in person with the white bezel.

You need to appreciate watches, rather than just Rolex, to understand. And the vote is irrelevant; you're on a Rolex forum.

Ploprof is a acquired taste, and the DSSD is much more conservative. I prefer the Ploprof on rubber, and never been a fan of mesh straps, but maybe that's an acquired taste as well. I think on orange rubber is one of the funner watches available, but definitely might be hard as like a daily wear.

If you just want a fun watch to wear to the beach in the summer, the PloProf hands down.

I was going to say this as well but knocking around the beach with a vintage PloProf (esp in and out of the water) may not be the best idea. I know, you can get it pressure tested, but I would feel hesitant to wear one if you are going to be in the water a ton.
But, other than that, I would definitely go vintage PP over either the new PP or the DSSD. In a heartbeat.

I appreciate all the feedback brothers, thanks for taking the time. Ultimatly I'm looking for a stand out tool watch. So I'll be picking up the ploprof as well as the Deepsea. But plofrof will be here first.

PP has a longer history than the DSSD, just saying..... Can't go wrong with either but you will certainly have more $ left in your pocket if you choose the PP.

Both are cool but you might get tired of the mesh bracelet on the Omega...

Omega PP! Looks more cool. Better choice for hanging out on beach/bars. Just looks cooler and with shark mesh bracelet.

For what you've outlined, I'd say the Omega. Cool, iconic tool-watch. Funky design, real wrist presence and not so common.
