There is no way to know that. I think that is probably true of a lot of models, but NOT the Wimbledon. Tennis star Roger Federer preferred the bimetall. In this particular watch, the gold makes the unique dial pop. It is so much more attractive in the bimetal configuration, than in all SS. But, even if what you surmise is true, why do you feel it necessary to rain on someone’s parade, and even double down on your unfriendly comment, when rightly called out on it? It just makes no sense. Also, the Wimbledon is NOT easy to get. On the contrary, it is still trading much above list, on the secondary market. Obviously, you are not a fan, and that’s certainly your right. But, as the old adage goes, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, _ _ _ _!

I didn’t actually say anything bad. I said it’s less desirable and the SA should have been happy with the sale and I stand by that. This is not a reflection on any grey/black market. This is what I’m told from my watch collecting friends and AD’s….

But we also don’t have to be overly excited for every single incoming. We can exchange opinions. That is what forums are for. I’ve not said anything bad about anyone. Some people are overly sensitive for no reason and that’s fine. I accept that
