I will make it simple: ANY ROLEX CAN BE DRESSED UP OR DOWN. You know you can change the time on all watches pretty easily. Be sides I don't think I would spend my time checking out what suit, tuxedo or watch a gentleman has on. A nice watch is a nice watch for any occasion. Most used rolexes start at $2,000.00 and new starts $5050.00. I think that's saying something. My 2 cents

[QUOTE=eamonn345;4455354]What would be your perfect 3 watches collection?
1. The day watch: the watch that suits your occupation. 2. Dress-down timepiece: worn everywhere from the beach to the ski slopes or for pottering around in the garden. 3. The dress watch : A watch geared for special occasions and big nights out. Or if you think a collection should have more than three, comment please! 1) - My 14060 - I think it covers both #1 & #2... 2) - If I had to chose for option 2, I think a Speedy Professional, 145 series 3) - I really want a vintage 1601 - that's the next purchase |

The day watch: the watch that suits your occupation.
Dress-down timepiece: worn everywhere from the beach to the ski slopes or for pottering around in the garden. The dress watch : A watch geared for special occasions and big nights out. 114060, dssd, and 216570. All chosen as keepers from flipping 20+ watches over 3 years or so with various brands. Limit myself to keep only 3 watches now. And any of them can be used in any situation above perfectly fine. |
