Get it you won't regret it. I have 2 Breitling Super Avengers and a Pam 87 and I try to give them wrist time but the DSSD always goes back on my wrist! Most comfortable on my 7" wrist. Do it you will love it!

Thank you, appreciate the feedback! Thus far I have pretty good wrist awareness, I'm sure it will be much more important with the DSSD. Quote:

It is absolutely fine - ignore those miseries who say its too big. Yes it's a big and overt watch, but for someone who likes bigger watches, it is not too big.
Neither is it heavy. Those who think it is must have very weak muscles. However it is important to wear it snugly fitting, because if its floating around on your wrist it will be unpleasant and 'feel' heavy. But with the superb glidelock, once the basic fit is sorted, a perfect fit is just a click away! |

Yes, glidelock really makes this watch that can be used for all seasons. And I see tons of people wearing Panerai so this should not be an issue straight to the point, I like it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Wow! Amazing collection.
I have the GMT BLNR and Submariner LV as well and looking to add the best Rolex watch ever made - The Deepsea Blue. I have been always a Rolex guy and owned several in the past but the ones who only stayed was the GMT BLNR and Hulk. Unfortunately sold my Deepsea Blue because I caught myself into the DaytonaC hype. I really regret it so much that I sold the DaytonaC and hunting back for the Deepsea Blue. I can tell you, the Deepsea Blue was very much my favority in my collection. (BLNR and LV was sitting in the box) |

I LOVE mine and I'm only at like 7.1 inches (albeit super flat). It's one of the most unique watches I have and it doesn't get boring like most of the other sub/rolex divers I've had. GO FOR IT.

Originally I thought it was so thick. However, after trying it on a couple of times and also trying some IWC, it's not that bad. Good to hear! Good eye, it is! Surprised they had a D-Blue in stock. Quote:
Beating out the DaytonaC, wow! It must be amazing! The more I see it, the more I want it. Although there is still some reservation if it's too big or when I will wear the hulk ;) Quote:

Looks fine. Get it! I agree that some close-up wrist shots make it looks disproportionately large.

Yes it looks large on you, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get it. As long as you have a thinner sport watch to rotate with you'll be good. My 47mm Breitling GMT is proportionally smaller on me than that 44 is on you, however it's thickness is the only thing that gets bothersome. The case diameter isn't really a big deal. Just be careful as it's very easy to hit some a massive watch on things. I like being able to rotate the small GMT Master II when I don't want a massive hunk of metal on my wrist.

Looks good, I like the wrist presence and the weight. I'm in the market for one too, can't decide if the price premium over the standard version is worth it.

looks good...however a 41mm might look better on the wrist
people cry tears over 44mm watches here but the reality is a DSSD looks better on a 7...7.5 wrist than a 6...6.5... DSSD is not for everyone just as a sub is not for everyone.... kudos to Patek Rolex AP VC Panerai and others who recognize that multiple size options to appease all consumers is the way to go...... and yes...Panerai offers the luminor submersible in 42mm now..... |

Generally I would say 7" or larger wrist is ideal, but in your pictures the size suits you well... |

Looks a bit large in the wrist shots...looks perfect in the full body shots. If it speaks to you, go for it IMHO
Fro casual wear, the blue dial is fantastic. I personally don't love it with a suit, and want my watches to be appropriate for both week and weekend so am looking at the black dial DSSD or SD43 |
