Title says it's a Pictorial, not an exclusive thread...
But you still can go cry to moderation, little man

The only one that has a saying on this is the OP... I wasn't "hijacking" his thread. I really complimented his 321. I posted pictures of my 3861 because I very recently bought it and as a happy new Speedy owner, wanted to share. That's all. His thread title says (Speedmaster 321 Pictorial), which means he is telling a story about his watch with pictures, in case you don't know. Last I checked it doesn't say "The absolute 321 exclusive owners thread". Go check any other Rolex thread here where people simply post picture of their own (many times different) models over and over when a specific model is mentioned. 98% of TRF members usually don't whine about it so if you feel hurt, offended or got your "safe space" invaded, please jump to some other threads or feel free to make a formal complaint to moderation, FBI, CIA, Care Bears, Teletubbies, etc. IF THEY (moderators or OP) say something otherwise, I'll take into consideration. Not you or your homie.

* p.s. My thread is actually a review thread of the 321; I prefer the word "Pictorial" because a formal "review" requires more info & preferably long-term results in terms of "wear comfort", "accuracy" etc. Hence while it's "no biggie", I was (also) surprised you went into detail about your 3861 but more importantly, always happy when the 321 gets a compliment from a fellow member

Sorry for the fuss (which wasn't started by me BTW). Too many bitter people here... From my understanding, your thread really wasn't a "Exclusive Caliber Speedmaster 321 owners thread". As you said, I understood the thread as your personal adventure and story regarding your 321 model. Also a very nice in depth review. I love the 321 but unfortunately (maybe fortunately ) it's pretty hard to get one. The reason I mentioned my 3861 is because I bought it this past Friday and got very enthusiastic about it so I wanted to share among Speedy and Omega lovers. And once again, congrats on your fantastic watch !!

The more I look at this and other posts about the 321 the more I feel I need to have another look at this watch!

I think you should. Honestly, if I had to go down to one watch (maybe a gshock aside) this would be it. I really think it’s that good. Plus it looks great on leather etc so you can switch it up a bit.

Yep it’s a total strap monster, like most Speedmasters. Love mine. Only two issues I have with it is: -the bracelet is very difficult to get over my hand in the most comfortable wrist size. I’ve never had that problem with a watch. Wish it had micro adjustments just to get it over my hand more comfortably. - the accuracy of the movement is disappointing but then again I wasn’t expecting COSC. Still, kind of a bummer for this price point. With that said, completely agree with the one watch statement. It’s not only an amazing watch but one I feel has more “soul” vs any other watch I’ve owned. Sure it’s all in my head but that feeling of wearing something so special and historic is one of the reasons I love it. |

I had the exact same problem as you with getting the watch over my hand. In the event you haven't tried it yet, try putting the watch on with your palm facing up and thumb tucked in, as if you were going to have the watch on the other side of your wrist. Once the watch has cleared your wrist, simply spin it around. If you've tried this already, then please excuse me. |

I completely agree with you on the last bit btw. I’m no particular space fan but this watch has more character than any I’ve owned. I’ve owned a ceramic Daytona previously and would buy this again all day. That’s not saying it’s a better watch than a Daytona before i get flamed (it’s a different watch) but this does more for me that that ever did. It’s one of those that needs to be seen and experienced as on some bare facts you could deem it overpriced. Following 7 months of ownership, I think it’s worth every penny of its MRSP and am delighted to have one. |

Actually, I’ll ask that question to all 321 owners. How accurate are you finding the watch?

I have not measured mine. Not buying it for accuracy. Mostly for the history and beauty of the 321.

Your watch looks really good. I’m finding it noticeable how many people who have bought a new 321 have put it on a strap. I think it looks better on a strap than on the bracelet. |

Thanks. It's super handsome on straps. But the flatlink is something else though. I like it as much as the straps which is usually my preference for all of my watches.

Are these newer 321 movements rated at COSC?

There is no official certificate issued with the Caliber 321s. As for accuracy, I can only speak about my own, which averages +7 in all positions except for Crown-Down which runs at -8. Not within COSC iirc, but it works out in the end as when it's ahead more than 30s I simply store it overnight in the CD position.
As I noted in my OP, if you want improved accuracy, a 3861-equipped reference is the way to go. That the 321 is reasonably accurate is more than I expected. On a side note, I was amazed to find out that running the chronograph (complication) has little impact on the accuracy or amplitude. My (new) El Primero 400 is much more impacted, running 2~3s slower (than without the chronograph running) and taking a pretty strong hit in amplitude.

Sticking with steel, don't need my 321 wrapped in "Jamaican gold"
A great 1st #SpeedyTuesday of 2022 all the same
