If you like it, that's all that matters; it's your watch. I'll leave mine like it is, thank you.

Looks great to me and makes me wonder why Rolex didn't go this way.
Gives it a real lift and a modern touch. Fair play to you |

Looks terrific! I was expecting that in 2021 for 50th anniversary of Explorer2 but in cerachrome.

As a general rule, I am very much against modifying a Rolex, but I must admit, that looks awesome! I hope Rolex is reading this and comes out with that model.

I really love this. Any tips if somebody else was to give it a shot? Would love to hear some lessons learned.

I do like that set up. As a general rule I don't like watches that have been ' messed about' but that looks good.

That is soooo cool! I really love it. So nice that you were able to do this.
About 8 years ago I Photoshopped a photo to look exactly like that: I posted it here too somewhere hoping someone would someday do this. Really great that you did it in real life. |

I don’t get the Daytona love at all, and that DLC bezel finish is a million times better than the bling of the glossy ceramic bezel.
I have had some DLC coated things in the past, and I recall them scratching more easily than I’d hoped — hope things have improved over the years and that yours remains un-scratched! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a nice mod, but it defeats the original purpose of the watch, which no one actually uses the watch for anyway.

This looks amazing! I usually hate when folks try this, just not my cup of tea. But this one looks amazing. Man Rolex should make this by default!

If Rolex ever introduced a stainless edged, PVD, ceramic bezel (in the Pelagos 39 colour and finish) on the current production ExpII, I would be a buyer.
Very tasteful mod, OP

TBH, I think it works better on the EXP2 than the Daytona, as there is some pull between the outlines of the hands on the polar, as opposed not none on the Daytona.
Very nice. |

I wonder what it would look like with the black dial installed? I feel like it would be even better. Would love to see this OP.
