I’m laughing in my head now at them releasing a 38mm FF that wears like a 36 and calling it ladies.

It’s actually 36 not 38. With what looks like a wide bezel the dial aperture must be as small as a doxa. 38 would have been better for me but this is for ladies based on their marketing |

I love the Fifty Fathom except for the size which won't work for me. I ended up getting a watch inspired by it but at 41mm which works a lot better for me. The Bathyscaphe just doesn't have the allure for me.

I have a FF and it does wear smaller than it’s 45mm would suggest, I personally love the side engraving, BUT the general consensus is not favourable, so listen to the people, Imo the biggest issue is the bezel although stunning is just too damn big, it’s like a tyre slim that down take off the engraving and you have a far more universally appreciated watch.

Agree about the Bathy, tried it on many occasions and want to love it but I just can’t, it’s just too sparse and soulless to me. No doubt it’s a lovely made watch but I can’t see anyone falling in love with it.

The rumor (started by Tim Mosso) is that they will be 2023 models, so perhaps too early to peep a word.

I also have the Hodinkee MilSpec and love how yours looks on the x71 bracelet. Where you able to source one from an AD? Do you by chance have the ref# of that bracelet? Thanks! |

Blancpain rumors?

I bought one for the Barakuda which has the same case. The reference of the bracelet is BR.C-01.5008.11, you will be able to purchase the bracelet at the nearest Blancpain AD. |

Long anticipated, new Fifthy Fathoms models are coming in the next 12 months to celebrate the 70th anniversary. Rumor runs that a new case between 40 and 45 mm will be introduced. Let's hope BP can impress us. |

Blancpain rumors?
Considering how minute product changes are in watches it’s painful how long one must wait from rumor to announcement to on sale. I’ll be a buyer if they get it right.

40mm would put the BP in some tough marketing territory.
But, the FF design aesthetic is unique, and if that is retained, then I think it would be a hit with BP enthusiasts. I don't mind the current style and size although 42 would be nice. I would like a version without the BP logo on the side, SS with exhibition case back and bracelet. |

I am a huge Blancpain fan but this rendition looks a bit underwhelming for me. I guess will have to wait to get the full specs.

Blancpain rumors?
Looks improved mainly by way of size. I hope they offer a no date rendition. Why on earth did they need to add 70th anniversary to the dial. I’ll have to wait for hodinkee to fix all their mistakes and then make a buy decision in 2 mins when they release it lol

I’ve also seen the image but again cannot for the life of me remember where, sadly to tell you all it is 45mm… That I remember distinctively, having been a previous FF owner I can recall being very impressed, I’ll try to have a dog and see if I saved it as a screen shot as I’m sure I would have.
