Nothing wrong, I actually prefer the older dial without the placard for the brand.

Just as I said condition becomes more of a question and that it’s out of warranty. If going to pay top dollar I would ideally be looking for something from last year of production with hacking seconds.

Ps the real challenge for the OP will be coming to terms with the realized cost vs the desire vs fear of wearing and scratching and enjoying. From experience it takes time to accept those facts before it can be reallly enjoyed.
Perfect watch to put on the wrist and wear as a daily.

If that’s the case, patience should payoff. Did they tell you how many people are on the list ahead of you and usually how many pieces they may expect per year? (Don’t need to disclose but this will give you a better idea on how long the wait can be) and ask them if you can be on an alternate piece waitlist in case 5712 gets discontinued.

Good luck with the wait.

Says the guy with the really sought after ones. The generic blue dial with patented sticking date wheel cant be compared to the Platinum versions or limited Green ones. I love you Green Baguette Man!

IMHO I wouldn’t do it. 2009 5711 is such and old watch to begin with, plus you would lose a lot of nicer watches in you arsenal. One day if you decide to trade the 5711 for a higher watch buyer will consider hard on the 2009 year being so old. Things that I worried though, you ask this question in Patek Sub forum, that’s might mean you part of you already decide to do it and you just need supported Idea lol. But if 5711 would mean a lot to you and you think you wouldn’t miss out on those 2 beautiful watches then let’s do it. I once trade my 2017 5167 and Batman plus 25K for 2016/5712 . In my case I was lucky enough to be able to obtained the batman back from Ad. Hope whatever you do makes you happy also!!! Good luck Fam.
