The Submariner for me. YG as opposed to RG.

I have both .
CHNR every day.
Root beer imho is a stunning watch.
I found the bluesy a bit too colorful
with the root beer more understated

I actually prefer yellow gold. Rolex rose gold looks a little too pink to me.

I chose the Rootbeer, because it’s a GMT, and so an extra complication, and the warm earth tones make a better everyday watch. It will go with whatever you are wearing. I do think the Bluesy is a beautiful Sub!

Funny this thread was created. I turned down a CHNR weeks ago from my local AD. I thought I would love it in person but no. Now I’m looking at first Gen ceramic bluesy w the non sunburst dial.

Deadlocked at 50/50 even a year later. Speaks to how great both these watches are!

I love GMT's, but at this point in my journey I'm taking the LB. I'll probably have a different answer in a week.

Damn its so close, just voted today and went with the CHNR as I just bought one and love it, but a few months ago would have picked the Bluesy in TT.

Bluesy for me. That being said, my wife likes the CHNR and we'll be picking one up for her around August or so.

Own both pieces, would have to be the Bluesy for me. Blue paired with YG has a regal look. Quintessential Rolex

Bluesy looks outdated. Rootbeer the model that rekindled the love of the Two Tone Rolex for me.

I realize this is an old thread, but hey whatever. Had a bluesy. Was too loud for me and sold it. Picked up a chnr and love it! Of all the different ref I’ve owned over the years, the chnr has gotten the most compliments from non-wis strangers.

I found that picture, and also thought it was incredible, so I saved it. I think it came from a Rolex catalog, or from an add.

(PS … The watch looks as good in person as it does in the photos !!)

Here’s another one I found / saved …

I like both but the black & brown GMT is a little less ‘shouty’ than the blue & yellow of the Sub.
