Yes I agree, I love Lange. I just bought my Timezone this week it was a hard decision between the timezone and the Langematik. But I believe Lange loose some of his magic on the Langematik or the Annual Calendar for that matter. It makes them look like all the other brands to a degree, their magic is in the Lange 1, Datograph, 1815, and Zeitwerk. There are so original, there is nothing like it in the market (IMHO). You see them an you know is a "Lange"

How does the TZ feature work? Is the second time-face set to the city at the 6? And this smaller time indicator changes as the cities rotate (manually)? Meaning that it is not a true WorldTimer, but rather a dual time-zone? No offense of course, I am just trying to understand and am jealous beyond measure and can only dream...

You got that right is a dual time with region indicator, I explain some of it here:

I'm disappointed to hear that. That's too long by any definition IMO.

Thought I'd share as well. I'd like to see a dedicated ALS forum on TRF, keeping fingers crossed.

Mike, you need to concentrate and stay focused. Quit worrying about those "other" brands and stick with the best. You know what I mean.

I've been selling off some watches lately and am thinking strongly about an ALS 1815. I'd be a member of the "low rent district" in this thread, but at least living in the right zip code. Beautiful watches gentlemen.

Nothing Wrong with the 1815, it would make a great start.
I say "start" because once to begin, it gets tough to stop., but hey, who's complaining.

So who's going to try and convince me to buy the BNIB WG Datograph Perpetual that I was considering, and which is still available, before I bought a few things from the opposition??

Patek and Lange are both #1, so you need atleast 2 watches from both.

I won't....

I would get the platinum perpetual tourbillon.... That is an amazing looking piece aesthetically. I don't love the aesthetics of the Datograph perpetual as much, though it is not a bad looking piece by any means...

720.025??

I have just been offered one would you believe - can you help with where the pricing should be at, list is Eur278 I believe, so ex-vat, 220 is the starting point for negotiations. Any thoughts?

I never have warmed up to the Dato perpetual either. The dial is just too busy. The Lange 1 perpetual calandar Tourbillion, at $340k, is in a different league, however.

Wow is that the US list? So the ex-Vat European price is quite a bit less. I guess discounts will be hard to come by from ADs......

I feel like the beggar looking in a restaurant window seeing a group feasting on a 7-course feast.
