anyone going to the wiscon event ? that's supposed to be end of September in Vegas, and arranged by gerardo here on the forum. haven't seen any threads about it yet and he's been slow with the details via email.
We don't talk about the WISCON anymore...

Will keep everyone up to date as developments happen.

And for what it's worth, hope to see lots of you on the "Increased Private messaging" After Dark drawing on Sunday. SO much fun, thanks to Steve and our Sponsors!! Thank you!
I just PM'ed you and very interested but just realized that 10/23 is the weekend of F1 Austin so wont be here in the Bay - will have to monitor the thread to see if the date is 100% set.

UPDATE, again!

1. Dauster? Thanks for the DM. Hopefully we’ll meet in another occasion.

2. Sorry for the absence of notes - I am still trying to get a confirmation from the local retailer that we can use their space for the GTG. Went in today, and they’re “ checking with corporate” for the approval.

Honest, hopefully I’ll have something soon. Keep the 10/23 date free, and your watches wound. We’re still going to make this into a great evening!!

Thanks everyone, for your patience.

Just received the official response from the second retailer in The City - very interested in doing this in the store, with security coverage,…. But can’t do it Oct 23rd.

However, they asked about a date in Dec or Jan ‘22, so I think we’ve got a good chance, and we’ll follow through.

Meanwhile, I’ll find a restaurant venue for Oct 23rd - we’ve got way too much interest to let this date go.

We’re out of the country right now, but will send private messages out to those who have give me the for October, when we return in 1-2 weeks.

Thanks all!!

Just sent out an e-mail to all who expressed interest, and sent me their info.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write me back (respond to the e-mail), so I have an accurate head-count and can plan the venue and the cost estimate!

We want to have a fun event - - with no whiners! Are we all clear on this??

Just sent out an e-mail to those who are "ON" for 10/23.

To all others who have written me and shared their contact info, we'll try to put on something in Feb '22. More to come!

Great time yesterday, even though very brief on my part (my apologies but kid duty called).
Huge thanks to Bob for organizing and I can't wait for the next one.
BTW what did I miss at Tourneau ?

Oh, man!! What a fun time!!
Chris? Sorry you had to take off, but I really enjoyed meeting you at Shreve. And that SkyDweller looks great on your wrist...

Despite the attrition rate (ended up with a smaller group as the time approached), we were welcomed so warmly at BOTH of the AD's, with champagne and open arms! Lots of the exhibition pieces to play with, and of course plenty of other marques, too! (Looked at Panerai, Vacheron, Tourneau, and Ulysses Nardin). Most of all, I was happy to see the connections being made with the SA's, so that our TRF'ers could know who to call in the future.

Great little private place to meet and eat, afterwards, too! Awesome to see the breadth of time-pieces laid out on the table. Some items I'd never seen before (Thanks, Curtis, for the Leonidas - -SO pretty!, and Stan with those Zelos's - - cool!).

Let's look forward to February, and perhaps a bigger group, with a more formal lecture at the dealer's. Thank you do ALL who communicated so well. Really helps! Enjoy this rainy weather....

It was a pleasure meeting the TRF members, and the AD managers and SAs at both Shreve's and Tourneau were friendly and engaging. We capped off the evening with a light dinner and "show and tell" at a local cafe.
What a great evening!

Kicking myself for not checking this thread, would have loved to join on the 25th - any other meetups happening in the Bay Area soon?

Sorry, everyone . . . it's been some busy times!

First, if the above 3 folks are interested in being in on our little GTG in a few months, PLEASE send me your name, e-mail, and your cell number (text), and I'll add you on the list. This is personal info, of course - I'll write you privately.

Next, February is looking booked up quickly for everyone, so let's make it in March.

The "When and Where". Choose between:

1. Thursday, Mar 17, and this would be at the AD in San Ramon (Heller), who have been VERY welcoming to me, personally (I just bought something new, even!), and said they'd really like to do this. (And, there's a nice steak-house right across the mall from them). They only host these things on Thursday evenings (about 5-7pm).

2. Saturday, Mar 19, and it would be in SF, at Tourneau. They're up for a Saturday, after closing (about 5-6pm), and I'd choose Sat, Mar 19

Write me back and let me know your thoughts! Happy Holidays to all, and a Merry Christmas!!!!
