37 is the correct size for you and think you made the right choice. The 41 looks like a 47 on you.

I would absolutely not go any bigger. The shots of the 37 look good as is, and possibly on the larger side already.

Wrist photography is borderline worthless as it distorts true appearance. You have a 6.5 inch wrist, you can pull off 41mm no problem. I have the same and 41mm works way better than 37mm in my opinion. I’d talk to your dealer and see if anything can be done. If you feel that what you got isn’t perfect, it will probably never become.

I have a similar wrist as you and the 41mm is way too big and looks disproportionate. The 16202 which I have seemed like the only one that wasn't too huge.

Edit: Ie in my opinion the 37mm!

The 37mm looks like the correct size on your wrist. You want to see some bracelet and not just watch hanging over the wrist. Knowing how the 37mm fits my wrist I am perfectly happy with mine and would not want a 41mm if it were offered to me. Having said that the 39mm Jumbo also fits me, as does the 38mm chrono.

It is a shame you are having doubts. You should be 100% overjoyed with the watch. Maybe try on the 41mm and keep an open mind. That might help you one way or the other. I suspect if you try the 41 you will be glad to have been offered the 37.

37 is definitely the right size. Now, once they release some more 38mm codes, get one or two of those and get in line for your jumbo.

FWIW, I have a wrist slightly larger than 6.5" and found the lugs of the 41mm hang off my wrist. Could not have been more obvious that it was too large for me. You picked up the right size, so enjoy it.

41 is much better for your wrist. ROs for men are supposed to look big.

I have a similar sized wrist and this is how the 15550ST fits on me. I think 39mm would probably be the ideal size but the 41 would’ve been too large.

I think you could pull off a 41. The 39 seems to be the sweet spot for almost everybody.

Does anyone have 7 inch wrists have a 37mm? Tend to lean towards smaller watches but don’t want it looking comically small.

Flat 7 inch wrist here …. Not my watch ( yet )

Some different perspectives that mimic how the watch looked to me.

Mirror shot at the end

It’s definitely on the smaller side of what I’m comfortable with ( I also own and loving wearing a 36mm explorer ) …… but the 41 felt too large / too much dial / not enough bracelet for my taste

I'm waiting for my 37mm allocation, but have tried the 41mm and the Jumbo at the AP House. I have a 6.25" wrist. The 37mm is perfect. The 41 is too large from a dial size but the watch fits because the lugs taper down more than the Jumbo. The Jumbo has the most beautiful dial, but it absolutely does not fit my wrist. The lugs flare out so the the bracelet doesn't drape my wrist. A relief in reality, so that I don't stress over the fact I can't get it haha. The point is don't worry about the number/size. Get the one that fits. For me it's 37mm>41mm>39mm Jumbo.

these close up wrist shots are the worst way to make a decision. they make any watch look massive vs what they look like in reality LOL!!

Wear the watch and look in the mirror, that'll give you a better perspective of proportions: watch, wrist, arm etc.

AP 15550ST 37mm- honest opinions

Thx Lilith - looks fantastic ….. that blue dial sure does photograph well.
Your clasp is nicely centered…… in my mind I read half link but the pictures now show me what you wrote….. an extra full sized link.
I have a 7 inch wrist as well and in chasing a 15550 so they told me I’d probably need a half link. Your full link solution looks much better

my wrist is 18ish mm, recently bought a 38mm chrono which between the pusher and the extra mm you could argue that yes it does look way bigger than a 37mm RO but still relatively small on my wrist, however I absolutely love the way it wears, I've never been a big watch kinda guy.

that being said the 41 to me looks disproportionate, almost like it's a fake watch.
The 37 looks really good on your wrist , classy and sleek, I would keep that.

for reference here's how the 38 looks on me

For the RO or the ROC the only ones were the Blue and Grey and I'd be totally good with either for the 37/38mm, don't want a PM or diamond.

Oof, 2 years for grey on your wishlist too? Sorry to hear that. Was expecting you to say you requested blue only. I guess I must have gotten lucky. I waited about 10 months before Lenox called me for the 37mm grey. Was hoping to get a 41mm allocation before they closed, but that obviously didn't pan out. On the other hand, I'm still waiting over a year from LV boutique...
