Here are a couple more
One working; one not. Both are probably from the 70's -- I had them as a boy. The mechanical still keeps great time, even though no service for at least 40 years.

I still remember getting my first LCD quartz watch as a teenager in the 1970s. What a buzz it was to walk around school with one of those on

I don't think King Seiko or the first round of Grand Seiko (1960s & '70s) were ever marketed outside Japan, so that's where you have to look for the best examples, either online or in person.
