I signed up for one in Portland Oregon at two locations about a year ago. One of the dealers I have a small purchase history (4k for a Longines), otherwise nothing. I was told 2+ years for a Polar Explorer, and longer on a GMT Master (and signed up for the 'list').
I ended up looking at and preferring a 216570 over the 226570, so found a well used one on one of the forums and picked it up for sub-MSRP. I've since had it serviced and am still at roughly MSRP price, AND got it on my wrist right away. Fantastic watch, and still my favorite Rolex, and one of my two favorite watches. Since then, I've picked up a Batman and a Pepsi used for reasonable prices (Batman also I got serviced, Pepsi is still under warranty), and have been enjoying them. I STILL haven't heard back from the ADs on anything. Yes, I paid quite a bit more than MSRP over the 3, but I got to enjoy them right away, which was worth the difference. I doubt I'll ever hear back from the ADs, and have stopped going in (as of about a month ago when I bought my Pepsi). Life is too short to spend years on the AD games. |
