I just discovered a Tudor with ref.nr. 7810 and serial 16xxxx which I just had to buy... Anyone who has info regarding this one? Should be from the 50's(?). Some lists date it to 1957 and some very uncertain sources says it holds a cal.59. Would love some info.

I have a Tudor Oysterprince 34. Model 7909 serial 146195. Its got white dial, triangular hour markers.
Will take a pic if any one interested. What is interesting is the case. Front on it looks the same as any other Rolex/ Tudor of same age, as it shares the same dimensions, but the case is much deeper with a far bigger winding crown. Anybody know anything about these?

Hello
First post on this forum. Bonjour everyone . I have a Tudor like yours which was bought for me in Aden in 1961. It was serviced in 1965 by Rolex and I think they changed the dial at the time. Almost same dial but mine is brushed radialy instead of circular. Very same hands. Dots and same minute markings. Hour markings wider apart. I'll post a picture when I know how to. Sincerely |

Hi, new here and wanted to add my Tudor to the database, not that it adds anything new, but it does confirm previous data.
It is a 76100 Lollipop submariner, 5 figure serial number (offset from centre) at 65***. The only dating information is that it was serviced at Rolex London in 1986 and the inner caseback is marked as such with a service serial number which has been verified by Bexley (though no details are now available as it pre-dates the current filing system). This fits with the 1984 rollover to 5-figure numbers (I think). Here she is |

Need Help
I need some help with this one and someone here I hope knows the answer.
I have an old Tudor, Oyster Commander... Now I dont know when they began serial numbering there watches but this one is only serial number 39,000. I have seen the same model (Oyster Commander) by RWC that was mentioned it was a 1942, and serial numbered 243,000, the case was not exactly like mine, mine is round and the RWC was more of a squared off shape but the movement was the same, 17j. I believe that mine is from the late 1920s to mid 1930s but I dont know. Anyone have a clue or can tell me more? I cannot figure out how to post the pictures of it so if you email me I can give them to you :) |

New to my collection Tudor 79260 and question on 62490 Bracelet
Hi Folks,
I recently purchased a Tudor Tiger 79260 Black/grey dial on Jubilee 64290 bracelet. Also the serial number is H31xxxx and stamped Dec 2000, checked ok at RSC San Francisco, got it from ebay with B&P and Tags. Box interestingly is RED and AD is from HK, not sure if this period or not... Few questions on bracelet #1 Excluding SEL, for full size bracelet is it 13 links (i.e. 4 removable links)? #2 Is 632 SEL correct number Thanks Dilip |

Nice Tudor chrono, Dilip. The number of links sounds correct. Not sure what number end links are used but yours look original. I love the Tudor jubilee.

Many thanks Dan(for always being the invisible hand). I was surprised to see the SEL number.632.. later today I will upload a picture.
I am a BIG oyster band guy... but getting nicely used to Jubilee(different and more comfortable than the one on my Rolex DJ) Lastly did Boxes(inner/outer) for Tudor varied with geography and AD; in my case the box is RED(inner/outer) with period 85190 sticky... but AD was from HK Cheers dilip |

632 SEL numbers and Tudor Air Tiger
Hi All,
I have as promised attached the picture of Tudor Jubilee 62490 SEL with 632 markings. I have since got Wolfgang feedback which okay the number. I have also attached my AIr Tiger 7957 with serial number 41814x dates it 1963, clean. Lastly, do anyone what tube I should look for to fix in my Air Tiger is after market okay... RSC SF is quoting ~$200 for tube and crown... not really an issue now but wants to fix. ThanksP1010012.jpg P1010014.jpg P1010016.jpg dilip |

I have a few questions about a watch I have. First off, I know nothing about watches so maybe someone can help.
I have a Tudor, it says on the display "Prince Oysterdate" From the back the numbers I can see are.. 8393xx 9121xxx My questiones are, is this a genuine Tudor? And second, is there a good reputable Tudor dealer that can repiar this watch? It was in a car accident, and the top is scratched, and the part that you wind is out of the case. Sorry for my ignorance. This was my grandfathers watch and he was killed in a car accident in 1993. |

I'm not sure about that Tudor, One way to tell for sure is to take it to a Rolex qualified watchmaker in your area.

Thanks for the replies. I will take it and have it service and looked at. I will have to drive to Atlanta because I don't trust any of the jewelers around here.

I have forgotten to contribute to this thread. Here's mine:
- H6817XX - Bought brand new in box by me from AD on Jan 7 2009 (but it had been in the store for a while). - Tudor Prince Date Automatic - Chrono Time/79260P - 7750, current model - SS case on Tudor Prince bracelet; 62590 - Black dial, WG hands and WG stick indicies, silver subdials with black hands, SuperLuminova. - Notes: It came with the new style credit card certificate. Hi All,
just registered because I just received a Tudor Price Date with following numbers : 79260P and serial H 446643. Silver dial, black sub-dials, Tudor back and crown. The strange part is the bracelet: it is one same tone / mat, not alternate shiny and mat parts as on all your pictures, folding clasp with Tudor logo and security second closing, but also one tone. It is not the Oyster type but the one with several smaler inserts, not sure what it is called. No single part number or reference to be seen on the bracelet or clasp. Could it be that the bracelet is a fake? The watch itself is genuine, no doubt, but the bracelet seems an aftermarket copy. Other question: I have never heard about 79260 POST-Tigers, always read about pre-Tiger or Tiger, but looking at my serial number H446643, this sounds to me like being produced between 2002 and 2005, when the Tiger sponsorship was ended, and my dail does not have a Tiger on it. Loads of questions, but as the watch was a - free - gift from a friend that does not like it anymore, and he had no box, no papers and did no know the history of the watch, I was wondering if you guys could help me? Thanks |
