Hulk. Because it’s a SS Sub; beautiful and unique.
Bi metal black dial are dime in dozen.

Hulk is the more fun of the two, CHNR is the classier. You just can't get enough of the hulk, the dial is amazing under any light, looks cool dressing casual, fun underwater/pool side ..etc. CHNR... classy and that's about it.

This!

Hulk dial is amazing and it’s bezel is plain, bland, plasticky and rather boring, at the same time.

Both are lovely but don't really work with a nice suit. So depends on the outfits!

I would take the hulk, not a big TT fan (the rootbeer is my favorite tt though)

glidelock is clutch

either way you can't go wrong, all personal preference

Hulk or Rootbeer as only watch.

The green on the hulk is a lot darker and more subtle than people think. On the wrist in the wild it’s not in your face green. That said, i vote hulk. Love the root beer but very flashy. You will learn people will gawk more and you don’t want that flashy reputation at all times, especially if you may have a business meeting.

I would say they’re both equally flashy. The dial on the Hulk in the light can really catch the eye, and the rose in the CHNR is really subtle, yet can have flash at times.

I’m surprised reading this the CHNR is running away as the favorite. A year ago, definitely two years, the Hulk would have blown the CHNR away. Either the Hulk hype is dying down, and/or people are realizing how nice the CHNR is. It’s only two years old, so I guess it makes sense.

I have both, and while the Hulk has actually been my favorite watch since I got it almost two years ago (even though I’ve added new watches to my collection since then), I’d recommend the Root Beer in your situation. As your only watch, the color tones on a Root Beer are a lot more subtle than that of the Hulk’s. The GMT function is also more practical for the average person as well.

Neither and the colors are not versatile at all. The hulk even worse as the pastel kelly green is like a toy or a commemorative piece.

I don’t know if I could have a gold or TT piece as an only watch. Doesn’t fit my lifestyle.

Root beer. Oddly enough the one of the two I do not own, but it’s a beautiful versatile piece.

Both are great watches, but the unique dial of the Hulk does it for me.

I love the CHNR think it’s an extremely striking watch. Currently I have a BLNR and the LV, I would turn the BLNR into a CHNR, however I don’t know if I could part with my hulk. Brushed oyster with the glideclasp makes it much better suited to everyday, and I wear it with everything. Some may not love the green but I find it to truly be a standout watch with more versatility than folks give it credit for. I’ve always got the itch to rotate new pieces, but I’m not sure I could part with the LV.

If you have seen the Sub LV in your hand, it's really a pretty piece, the photographs just don't do it justice. In a suit the green sub will fit under the cuff the green is definitely more unique than a black sub so it's more exclusive. Either watch is unique.
Sub & GMT do not have the same waterproofing - 300m v 100m

Why is the GMT any less likely to fit under a cuff?

Prefer the Hulk as a watch, but as a one watch the CHNR as it's more versatile imo

To those that are color blind it does. All joking aside I think the hulk or any green watch will work well with just about anything. Green is pretty versatile.

Really??? How many CHNR have you seen in the wild?? I know the same is true for the LVC but Subs are truly the most common professional model in the world. Owning both, I would say the CHNR is a lot more upscale looking and goes with more clothing styles. The LVC is a maverick and is a casual sports watch that by nature doesn’t blend with many clothing styles. I tried working around it for years and the green is tough, so you just accept it’s always going to be a contrasting piece of jewelry on the wrist most of the time. After awhile I let my LVC go. Loved my time with it but no regrets.

Two different watches two years apart on similar vacations.
