The Lord himself wears a 124060. The one watch i could never get rid of. Cleaner than the Daytona and GMTs and my now preference above both. If it weren't for all the Hype everybody would be after this watch. The subs have been so popular for years Rolex just makes more of them........ this brings down the rarity and hype but Damn its a beautiful watch.

Ironically, my wife cannot tell the difference!

The Bezel seems to shift colour depending on the lighting

I think you will be happy with this, but tbh the Speedie is also a fantastic and iconic timepiece. I have a 2009 40th anniversary model and it is still running very well and has not yet required any servicing - worn in a semi-regular periodic rotation.
