I guess we have very different perspectives on what "right size" looks like.

To some people, this is the right size tires for this car...

But I think that looks terrible...

To others, maybe these tires are too big and don't belong on this truck:

But I think they're a perfect match...

We simply view the world differently.

Not at all to me. If I wear a shirt like that...

I feel like this:

You might really like the new 43mm Sea Dweller. I'm a huge Breitling fan, and the SD43 wears bigger than the 44m Colt Blacksteel I own.

That’s exactly the one I got.

Believe it or not, that's one of the main reasons I've been avoiding Rolex.
I'm in education and feel the same way. It's one of the things that kept me away from Rolex and staying with slightly less well known brands, like Breitling. But, I just turned 50 and I decided to throw that out the door and try a new Rolex.

Sorry. Hadn't got to the second page yet and couldn't imagine you would have picked up a second Rolex in before I clicked on the next page button!

This is the first thread I started here.

I’m a watch fanatic and have obsessed over watches since my late teens. My current collection grew tremendously over the last year. It more than quadrupled to be precise!

I avoided Panerais and Rolexes as I felt they were overrated and boring. I felt that all their designs just look the same and you pay just for the name and social status symbol.

About a month ago, I bought my first Panerai PAM111 with upgraded steel bracelet from eBay:

I was very unimpressed with the watch... but for a good reason, That piece of crap turned out to be a FAKE, I had to file claim with eBay and I got my money back and reported this piece of $#!+ seller that’s selling ALL fake watches on eBay and pretending they’re authentic.

Determined to experience the quality, A week later, I bought a PAM320

Watch looked great but sadly, wasn’t keeping good time. And it acted totally psycho on the timegrapher.

I kept the watch for 1 week and it drove me insane knowing that my watch has a problem... off to Panerai it went and I’m waiting their assessment.

After much much debate, yesterday I pulled the trigger on my first Rolex:

It’s really the only model that appeals to me, seems “fun” and colorful to match my colorful collection.

I remember one of my friends wearing an old white explorer YEARS ago and I complemented it.

Probably only Rolex I genuinely complemented.

Besides, orange is one of my favorite colors

So I will probably do this too...

I’m awaiting arrival. I’m excited... and I’m concerned to be underwhelmed. Especially given my recent experience with the PAM320 and the fake PAM.

Looking forward to the ride
Welcome to the Roladdiction:)

It really is, no question!

I obviously don’t have a lot of Rolex knowledge or experience but from the little that I know? I have huge expectations for this model.

But thank God, Rolex doesn’t make a ton of models that interest me.

If they start popping more 43-44mm models, I might be in trouble.

It's legit.

It's in the hands of Panerai Service Center now doing a full service on the movement and professional polish/refinish on the case.

FYI, I wasn't positive it's "kosher" either... but when I got a phone call back from Panerai saying that the watch was examined and found to be lacking lubrication, and they recommended full service of the movement.... well... I was pretty convinced it's authentic at this point lol
