Seriously, it's been mentioned that it was posted multiple times. People don't even bother reading an entire thread before posting. Rant over.

I appreciate I have resurrected my old post from 2016. But I have a good news story finally.

We registered the theft with The Watch Register in the UK in 2020 (when we became aware of this register) and 3 weeks ago, our watch was offered to a pawn broker in the UK, and they checked the register, saw it was stolen and retained it.

The police then took the watch and did some investigations. I don't know where its been for the last few years, but it is finally coming home!!

Plenty of unanswered questions and wild goose chases over the last 18 months since I discovered the watch as being 'sold in 2017' on a website of a dealer shop not too far from where we live.

Such a rollercoaster time, and whilst I know some people wouldn't have been bothered about getting it home, we were.

If you have had a watch stolen, get it on the Watch Register in the UK. You may get a happy ending after 6 years too.

This is AMAZING

I’m truly happy for you. What a rollercoaster ride. I would’ve given up hope after a few months let alone years

I hope you post a proper “welcome home ~ incoming” thread when you finally get it back

Fantastic news. You must be thrilled!

I’m sure the fact it’s now worth significantly more than when it was stolen can’t hurt either :)

Congrats! I always said, a safe isn’t safe unless it is in a safe inside a safe room!

Hopefully it's not trashed and you don't have to repay the insurance payout.

You get scrap back at a silly price.

Box and papers still with it, and it is still in good condition from the photos I have seen, which is surprising considering its journey!! If only watches could talk right....
