It's a watch you have to try on
Do you mean 180? If you did a 360, you would be back where you started and still hate it

I really like the style and colours, but I can't get over (or head around) the usage and style of the 3,6,9.

I like the new air king. It may be my next purchase in fact. I can get 10% off and no tax so it makes it a good deal

This watch has grown on me over the last few months, but I want a tool watch look for my second Rolex (others a 36mm TT Datejust) preferably a GMT. I could see wearing an eclectic watch like this every couple of weeks or so.

I don't need to talk about the AK40 because it is the most loud looking Rolex already.

People talk about lume but I don't get it,

If the 12 is lumed and hands are lumed, surely it's easy to read the time, even at a glance....or am I totally missing something?

It looks really cool. I would call it the "Jamaica." From the first time I saw it I instantly thought of the Jamaican flag. I think it'll be a sleeper hit in the long run. Very unique looking Rolex.

Love the colour scheme but not a fan overall. But again, love that green and yellow. Damn. They should do that more often.

I don't like the 369, but I didn't like them on the old explorer either. Dial is kinda busy too

I really like vintage Air Kings, Ryan Gosling's is superb. The vintage one's were always too small for my taste so I never went after one. This new one shares very little DNA with the original except the name and it doesn't have the timelessness I personally go after in a watch.

I like the look but with a few more bucks I'd rather have the explorer 1.

I've heard a rumour that Rolex intend stopping this model once the bloodhound has made its run. A future icon if that's the case?

It's a nice foil to the simplistic Exp. Watchfinder still have this at well above retail so demand still healthy.

I have become chatty with "the Rolex guy" at a local AD and he is a fellow watch nerd. He was really high on the watch and without warning pulled it out from the back (apparently on hold for someone else) and had me try it on, but it did absolutely nothing for me. Like many others, the mix of hour numbers and minutes leaves me cold, as well as the feeling that more clutter has been dumped on an Explorer dial.

Everyone has different tastes, but this particular watch was just not for me.
