My wife has a two-tone DateJust with diamond hour markers. She'll casually toss it in her purse when going through airport security or leave it on the granite counter top next to the kitchen sink after doing dishes. It gets tossed around with other jewelry. I've gently tried to get her to respect her watch more, but nothing took.

More recently, I got her a vintage IWC with a new Santoni strap. She thinks it's gorgeous and pampers the sh*t outta it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let it go. It's not worth the trouble. Her values are different than yours. Don't sweat the small stuff. While it might be a Rolly, it is just a watch and that is how she looks at it.

posting it for fun and humor on TRF is my way of letting it go.

Funny how a lot of people here think I'm seriously stressing out about this. It's her watch, she can do whatever she wants with it. It's still painful to see every day.

I, for one, would hate to have a shiny old Rolex in my deathbed.
