OP39 would be a good choice. I would also think about the Tudor Range too. Pretty versatile watch with the bracelet/camo strap combo!

Something else to consider -- your price range puts a 16570 Explorer II within reach, if you are willing to forgo the box and papers. You get excellent value for the money: 40mm watch, sport model, date complication w/ cyclops, GMT hand. The black dial one is very versatile and would perfect for a one-Rolex collection IMO.

Since you won't be able to get an early Exp 1 at those levels I would try to find a nice 16570 Exp 2. For the money best bet IMHO.

Actually I disagree on buying preowned if you're going to keep it as your only one.

Save up for the one you really like and get it new. It will not dissapoint. Especially the 39mm OP or Explorer I. Ive had both and loved them. Hey try finding the NOS short hand expI! They might offer some discount plus you get white gold numerals!
