This is a question for the Pinball Wizard, so I searched from Soho down to Brighton until I found and asked him. His reply was to get the 114060 as numero uno. It's classic and pairs well with the Speedy Pro as a solid foundation for your collection. Next year, after Basel pick up a GMT, you may find the latest and greatest more to your liking. If not then get the BLNR. I think that's pretty sage advice from the man with such supple wrists. He said good luck.

If the sub had to be the model with no date, why would you want the GMT which has a date. I know it does not come without a date. But, if no date is a desire to you seems like the Sub no date is the obvious choice here. Get the GMT later and then have both.

Having owned the 114060 and now the BLNR, I say go with latter. It really is a beauty. You can always add the Sub C later.

For me the Sub was more versatile. Dressed up or down. For me the BLNR is more casual. Can't see wearing it with a suit.

I have both and if I could only have one? Sub no-date. It's a very versatile watch and goes great with jeans or a suit. Love the BLNR as well, but not as a first watch. Don't get me wrong, awesome watch, especially for travel, but I'd get the Sub first.

Here's my two cents, both are great watches and there's pro and cons to each. I have an SD and the BLNR. The thing that is nice with the SD and the Sub is that they are highly replicated designs. Therefor when your out in public I don't have as many people comment on my SD as I do with the gmt... the blue on the gmt does give a nice pop of color and it's a lot easier to change time zones as can do so with out stopping the second hand. As long as you buy a watch you love you cant go wrong!
