Tudor in now way compares to Omega.
One has real history. The other was conceived as a bargain Rolex and has no particular claim to fame. |

To me (and to many), the Speedy Pro Moon or pre-moon is the most iconic, must-own watch in its price range.

Had the same dilemma. Had the same thread
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=594891 yes, and I kept my speedy. No regret. |

It depends what else you have in your collection but I'd personally rather have a Speedmaster, but make mine a sapphire sandwich. I'd add a 114060 down the line too and never think twice about selling the Tudor.

I’d vote for the speedy. If it was a bb58 I’d probably vote bb58

Agreed, they're both beautiful watches. I have both. Couldn't have just one. But I did flip the ETA model. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Thanks for all the replies. Gotta love how this forum can help make a decision, especially when just about everyone has the same opinion. Just might sell the Tudor today if the buyer is serious.

If it was the 39mm black bay I would have a harder time, but out of these two I would go speedmaster

I have both, and I'd choose the Speedy if it came down to one. I will say though that the Black Bay on an Everest rubber band is a great tool watch.

Are you very physically disabled and incapable of turning a crown once every few days when you're wearing it? If OP is looking for style and something to pad out a versatile wardrobe rather than an out-and-out tool, I don't think auto vs manual wind comes into it so much anyway... Quote:
You're right, you don't need to cover every possible tool available if you're making a solid collection of quality pieces with their own individual personalities. The Speedy is a classic of course, but personally I prefer the Daytona or other chronos so would be inclined to keep the BB red while saving to add something rather than replace what I had. But if you're bored of the BB red having already tried a strap change, and you think the Speedy will make you happier - then by all means, change from the 'modern classic' to the more famous classic sports. Nobody ever got called a fool for choosing to own a Hesalite Speedy over a Tudor within a 3 or 5 watch collection. It just isn't for me, personally. |
