Im so sorry this happened to you OP, as well as the gentleman who had his AP stolen by the same guy.

I sincerely cannot wait till we have an article posted on here of this man being caught and rotting in jail. Karma is a bi*** and he will get what he deserves.
I hope some way you are recovered what is rightfully yours; I am always saddened to hear about such news.

Dreadful. Sympathies to the OP and anyone in the same boat.

Can’t wait for the post saying he’s been caught. With that mugshot he’s a fugitive on the run now. It’s just a question of time.

Is it possible for Chrono24 to find his IP address, from the username?

Or, security cameras to read the plate number?

Did you have any communications prior to meeting up with the person?

Looks like you will have enough stuff for a good chance at catching him. Hope they throw away the key once they lock his ass up.

Damn, that sucks. Sorry you had to go through that.

This is exactly why I prefer to sell to trusted buyers here on TRF. Yes, you take a hit on the value (usually around 20%) but for me it's money well spent/lost to have peace of mind.

I used to enjoy selling a watch every now and again, purely as a hobby and a means to get another. But a few years ago they were a 5 or 6 k, now everything seems to be 10k +

This makes it way more attractive proposition for a POS

I do hope he gets caught and you get the watch back. Really sorry. Be thankful nobody was hurt

Multiple Grand Thefts--how many years will this kind of thief serve in prison, if apprehended?

Of course, it'll depend on his previous criminal record. Is there any lawyer in California, here? I'm just curious.

Already talked to ch24, and unless I’m the detective on the case, they can’t provide me anything I ask for except maybe suspend that sumbag’s account.

If you can get together with the stolen AP seller on the other thread and conclude it is the same guy, surely the police will need to start taking this more seriously. At some point someone else is going to get lucky/unlucky and catch this guy as he runs off and perhaps end up dead.

If Chrono24 need a police intervention this could help get that underway.

(Of course, it could be a different guy altogether).

Hopefully there isn't another victim, but if there is, maybe they will have a CCW permit and do the abiding members of society a favor and fill this POS with lead.

But even if one has a CCW permit, can he just shoot the thief who is running and not attacking? it's certainly not a case of self-defence. I'm just curious.

Questions:

Did the thief select the location or was it you?

Did you have any telephonic conversations with the thief, and get their cell #?

Did you notice any scars, marks, or tatoos?

Accent?

Sorry for your misery.
