I voted Daytona, but would qualify that vote. If you're getting a new-ish, good condition plat DD for 25-30k, I'd do the trade. If we're only talking WG, then hard pass for me.

Sure, why not! capitalize on the crazy current prices for the DaytonaC white dial (supposely $26k) and put that $ into a DD that is worth way more as is PM versus a SS watch

Go for Platinum Daytona. Best of both worlds.

I said No a month ago and this thread has come back to life again. But no change in how I would vote again.

FWIW I think a PM DD 40 is a better piece. That said, one is more difficult to get than the other. Keep the Daytona. Just buy a PM later. At least you won’t have a premium.

Are people actually trying to justify a steel Daytona vs a Platinum DD40? I’m confused here

Very surprised at the voting here. It's a 36mm Day Date, no way

IF this is a straight trade for a clean Platinum DD40, please let me know who is making the offer.

I will promptly buy a grey market Daytona for $25,000 and execute the trade with them.

Nope. I would trade up to a 116519LN or Platona though.

Abolsutely not. Just for comfort alone. Also I prefer the aesthetics of a Daytona to a DJ or DD.

If you don't wear or like your DaytonaC and it is a black face I would trade for a modern DD.

So far I have let the itch pass. It would hav been a white Daytona C for a 36mm PT DD. Still thinking abt it but haven’t done anything more. I made a few inquiries and it would be close to an even swap.
