Honestly, if you are getting bored with the Batman and itching to wear something new, which I assume is the case since you're getting a quote, then do it.

You trade the batman, probably valued around 14k, plus 3k for a Pepsi that is selling across the board between 17-18k. The batman is discontinued so prices will only go up. The demand for the Pepsi will always be equally as high so the price will continue to rise as well.

If you ever regret selling the Batman you can always trade back for it. You're in a really good position if you bought the Batman at retail because you're already making a few thousand when you trade out of it.

So personally, I say go for it. Enjoy something new.

I wouldn't. I'd keep the BLNR and save up or wait for BLRO.

I don’t buy watches based on $$ value, I buy and keep the ones I will wear. I had an Oyster BLNR that I loved for about 13 months until my BLRO arrived. After just a few weeks I realized I would not wear the BLNR anymore so I sold it. I’m a wearer not a collector.

Keep the BLNR and buy a Super Jubilee 63600 instead. That gives you options (and the BLNR does feel very different on the SJ) and you still have the original BLNR with oyster. Win win.

I like the BLRO way better than the BLNR. But I would not pay any cash towards it. It’s a bad deal frankly. Sounds like you’re going through a gray dealer.

If you are getting it new with warranty, through AD, yes. Newer watch, newer movement, longer warranty. If through grey dealer, no.

I would not. Just wait and build a relationship with a dealer. Patience is key. The BLRO will be in productions for at least 7 more years.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and advice. I think I will just add to my nest egg and try to buy a BLRO from my AD. They have been good to me. In March, I got a SS Daytona with the white dial from my AD, so surely if I'm patient, I'll get a Pepsi.
Also, I'm thinking about getting the 16710 Pepsi for a change, but those are going for more than a new one.

Do not trade. the older 5 digit Pepsi's popped with color and are very lovely watches to wear. The new BLRO bezel is completely wrong. This is because the bezel is dipped in red first, then blue over the red to cover it giving it a pretty nasty hue. The BLNR doesn't suffer this issue.

I have both. Personally, the Pepsi is stunning and is the keeper between the two.

It’s a tough one! If I MUST choose one, I would choose the BLRO

It’s mostly likely the exclusivity of the blro that is making you want it over the Batman. In practical terms the Batman is the winner. Has some character with the black/blue bezel but is still fairly discreet and undercover and can be worn in a professional conservative office setting without an issue. The blro’s pastel/pink/reddish color along with the jubilee is just much more noticeable and in your face. Which is fine in casual settings but probably not if you’re wanting to be subtle about your expensive watch in a work and social setting.

I would trade the BLNR oyster to a BLRO. There’s a reason for the strong demand of the BLRO when it first debut - it’s still the Rolex GMT watch to shoot for.

I guess im just saying in so many words what most will say. Buy (or keep) what you love. I'm also a fan of the oyster bracelet especially on a sports piece. I do like the Blro but for me I ended up with the 5 dgt version. Good Luck on your decision..

I ended up with this exact combination too!
To me the colours in the Pepsi work better on the aluminium bezel of the 5 digit.

Definitely not...if you really want a jubilee model, grab a date just and have fun with that vs letting go of the batman.
