Good idea for a thread. Some great watches on here!

44.25 mm Omega Moonphase

7.5" wrist

My favorite watch. Due to the bezel with only being ~41 mm it wears more like a 42/43 watch. Fits me very well

My Daytona is my largest, but I have tried on the YM WG (42mm) and it looks great on my puny 6.3" wrist.

Largest automatic is a Seiko Samurai, largest quartz is a Lumi Nox, both at 44 mm. Wrist is 7.25". Getting older I prefer 40 mm watches, my favorite is my 5 digit Submariner.

My wrist is about 7.25 but fairly round. I wear a 42mm Speedmaster with no issue but its more a 40 with 2mm lug protectors. The 42mm Dornbluth was 42mm and all dial...too much watch for my taste but smaller than most seem to be comfortable with

Not sure but I think this G Shock is 51MM. My wrist size is 7 inches. Great watch, before the Virus, I brought this to wear at night while traveling. Daytime I wear my 44MM DSSD Deep Blue while traveling.

This one is my largest at 44mm. No idea what my wrist size is cause I’m too lazy to measure it ,and never really worried about it. 7 inch ish..?

6.25 wrist. I have a 45mm watch, but I don't wear it much because it fits my flat wrist with 0mm to spare haha

I’m torn on this subject. My live and let live liberalism believes people should wear whatever they want. Huge watches, dresses, body mods; whatever.

Other part of me sees a guy with <7 inch wrist wearing a Rolex professional series or a classic 40-41mm and smh. Always looks like the kid wearing their dad’s clothes or small guy in the big truck look.

Overall, I’m for the former. Just wear whatever you want. But people do notice the oversized watches. Even before I got into watches I noticed someone at work who was small and thin and wore a large watch. I think it was a Breitling. I remember it being steel on steel and busy dial and too big for his wrist. He also wore extra large baggy clothes to look bigger than he was. It was a clear example of the kid wearing his dad’s clothes look and stuck with me. I’d joke with coworkers that he looked like David Byrne during his oversized clothes phase.

For the record I have a thick 7.5 inch wrist which means I need a 7.75 inch or so bracelet and wear an OP41 which measures 39.5mm. I wear the full bracelet and it just barely fits comfortably and looks good on my wrist. I wouldn’t want to go any larger. I could go a few mm smaller to the DJ/OP/DD 36 no problem. The lug to lug and bracelet size make it feel smaller than the case size. I’ve tried on a 36mm DD and it felt fine. It looked a little small but the weight made it feel fine. The dial being more busy made it look a little smaller as well. I agree with other opinions that busy watches wear smaller and time only watches with no bezel look larger.

Pepsi looked and felt small on my wrist because the dial and bracelet were smaller than I’m used to.

It’s a funny balancing game.
