Money no object...5740. Otherwise 5712. 5726 would be my third choice.

if you like thin watches. 5711 or 5712
if the price is no issue and you like complications 5740 if you don't mind the heft and like blue dials 5726 |

This seems pretty spot on between the 5712 and 5726. I really love the dial layout and micro-rotor on my 5712 but for everyday wear wonder if I’d like the 5726 better. The AC seems much more practical than the moon phase and power reserve. Plus it’s easier to read. But if forced to choose I also think I’d pick the 5712 again because to me it just seems to have more Nautilus DNA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Another vote for the 5712/1A. I just find it one of the most uniquely cool watches ever.

i promise to report back - i wont have this conversation until late summer - which will be interesting - sometimes when people say "oh no problem" it can be a problem if i say Nautilus. We shall see....by the way all this info still has me scratching my head. at least right now im leaning toward the 5726....more of a sports watch and more practical complication....tim mosso video comparing the two makes sense. but that is just how i feel today....who knows. maybe i wont mind bringing along fort knox and ask for 5740...and maybe i wont get a choice. Thanks again

I picked the 5726.
I liked the more sporty feel and heft to it (close to but still less than a Rolex Sport), the symmetry and legibility of the dial, and it’s a quintessential Patek movement in a quintessential Patek watch. I wonder if you could find a grey dealer in your area to try them all (bob’s perhaps?) Good luck in your choice |

5711r, 5980r/5990r, 5740. Forget all the other nautiluses. If you have an opportunity to get any of these at retail then make it count. Don't waste your time on the stainless steel ones. You already have so many stainless steel watches. Also if you get sick of the gold, sell it for 2-3x the money. Huge profit.

I love the uniqueness of the 5712, and the wrist presence of the 5726.
