The rose gold is more subtle than yg so it is not a brash watch but has great earth tones to it. I has a unique place in a collection but only if you can appreciate it. You will not lose your money if you decide to sell and will make someone else a happy person.

I have the CHNR and to me is one of the most unique watches in my collection.

Good luck.

Since it was a question, I’m one that would not and have skipped on offer from AD.

But it’s all up to you.

I’m also one that has the CHNR and love it so hope you will too. It has something special to this one.

It doesn’t matter to me but some do say that this one is a potential collectible.

Finally, I buy only what I like as mainly I don’t want to deal with the process and have not sold any.

I saw a Rootbeer for the first time when I bought my now traded in white DJ41. My SA was wearing one and I kept staring at it. After much YouTube watching and drooling over the watch, I texted my SA and asked for one, took 5 months, but it sure was a great moment when I finally got to pick it up! Don't think I will ever sell this one.

Hope you fall in love with it too and keep it, it's a great watch!

If you don't like it, flip it - simple.

I appreciate the watch, but wouldn't wear two tone/brown personally. I also wouldn't buy something just because it was offered and then hope it grows on me. These are not THAT tough to come by in my experience.

So if your response is "I hope it grows on me", then no, it was not a good decision.

Kind of a dumb question, no? Dude, buy it if you like it instead of going with some stranger’s opinion .

Tax write off? I’m no accountant but how in the h—- is a Rolex a write off? Unless your a watch dealer of course and take a loss.

You only picked up the best two tone watch ever made in my opinion. So I don’t think is an error.

At worse case scenario sell it for a gain?

Unbelievably good situation for you.

How good the decision depends on how much you like it, but I would have also grabbed the opportunity. Congrats!

Congrats on the pickup. It’s a great piece. However, if you don’t care for it, absolutely no reason to buy it.

I think you made a fantastic decisions. That TT Root Beer is one of the most beautiful, and most interesting references Rolex makes. I can’t stop staring at mine. It’s just stunning. It’s also surprisingly versatile. Update the thread in a week with your thoughts.

Best response. Are these thirds on this forums teasers for For Sale posts. Who buys things they don't want or need. Especially when you are talking about more than $10k. It must be nice to piss that type of money away.

Was thinking the same thing. You went in to get a bracelet adjusted and they just offered this watch to you. What about the people who have actually expressed interest in this watch and told they will be put on a list and get called when the next one comes in. Now you might not like it and then will flip it instead of someone who actually wanted it in the first place.

I’m on a “waiting list” for one at an AD. I’d love to walk in and be able to find one at retail.

Great buy. I love mine. Thinking of building a GMT trio ( Exp 2 polar, TT rootbeer, full gold pepsi).

It's ridiculous to say that this could ever be a "horrible decision". Worst case you flip it for a profit. How is that "horrible"?

Best case you keep it and love it and it grows on you over time and if you ever need cash it's going to give you back more than what you paid for it. Really...you can't lose on this one. I think it's a great piece....classic. Best 2 tone from Rolex IMO.
