It looks good to me, but it's just a photo!

Your phone stands between the watch and your eyes. From this closer distance, the watch appears bigger than the wrist just behind. That's what the phone "sees" and shows on the photo.

One could make the watch appear arbitrary big by taking a photo at 1cm or 1mm from the watch with a special lens.

Close ups are always deceiving. I’ll bet it’s perfect.

3. But if you like it and it’s wearing comfortable then go for it!

IMHO, from the pics it looks a little too big, and so I am going with 3.

That said, closeups often make watches look bigger, it could look totally different in person, and whether it is a 22mm watch or a 52mm watch, if you're happy with it, that's what matters!

I'm going to have to go with '3' as well. But as others have said, all that really matters is what you think. (Although I guess you're on the fence or else you wouldn't have asked).

I would also be in the camp of too big for my taste but also who cares - enjoy it.

Looks about good to me; it's a manly watch so should look substantial on the wrist.

Muscular watches like this look particularly good when they are paired with well defined, muscular arms. If you are somewhat unsure of the way the watch wears on you, do some exercises to build up your biceps and brachioradialis.

Based on the photos I’d say a 3 but I’ve learned recently how hard it is to take a photo of a watch. Some posters on here are extremely talented photographers but for me even a small watch can look like a clock on my wrist if I get the angle wrong

Interesting. In image #1, the fit is perfect (hence response choice 1), but in image #4, too big.

In fact, the four images OP provided represent the full range of response options, correlated in series. And yet, it is the same watch on the same wrist. Two paramount constants. The only variable is perspective.

Lesson here is that perception of size is subjective, and we should all wear what we enjoy.

Well done, OP.

A little big but buy it if you like it. I wouldn't let your wrist size determine what watch you can or can't buy.

OP is asking about the Sea Dweller which is bigger than a Sub.

It's a little big, but it is a big watch. If you like it and it's comfortable, go for it. It doesn't look bad on you.

I don't think BIG is the right word. Big kind of insinuates that the watch doesn't fit and therefore, you shouldn't buy it. I think it depends what you're going for. The watch definitely has presence. So if you want people to notice then I think that watch is perfect. If not, go with something more low key.

The SD has a big presence over a sub. It fits your wrist alright.
Go for it! Congratulations in advance!

A) this watch is SUPPOSED to fit bigger (it’s made larger on purpose)
B) a watch a little big/little small on the wrist is inconsequential
C) your money, your wrist, your happiness. What matters is if YOU like it and if YOU think it fits ok.

between 3 and 4...."noticeably big".

I think the real question is, how does it feel?

For me, the problem with an oversized watch is I become too aware of it and it can be distracting. If you dont have that problem, then do as you like.

Go for it!

When you're 20, think everyone's talking about you.
When you're 40, don't give a damn what anyone says or thinks about you.
When you're 60, you realize no one was ever thinking or talking about you.
