My vote is for the Tank Louis Cartier. Its far more versatile than an Aquanaut, which is just another sports watch. If it were a Nautilus, then I might reconsider, as IMHO, its better looking and more versatile than an Aquanaut.

The Cartier is a true classic, and has been around for over 100 years. It never looks dated or out of place. It's a watch that is easy to dress up or dress down, because the case is so simple and clean. I have one and I wear it with a nice sweater and jeans, or a dress shirt and khakis, and with a suit. I used to think of it as a dress watch, but it is so much more, than that. It really can be worn with anything or for any occasion other than swimming or contact sports.

I personally believe that if the Aquanaut came out today, with any different name on the label I don't think anyone would look twice at it. I do actually like the case but the dial in particular seems like such a disjointed design on an obtuse, unrefined waffle texture. It just seems like an afterthought. Harsh maybe and in reality who am I to judge but that one baffles me. If it didn't say Patek on the dial I wouldn't pay $100 bucks for that watch.
