Le Mans WG and YG Rainbow they are great watches to add to the collection. Sad the WG Le Mans is off the catalog, just like the rainbow Daytona it just may still be available we’ll find if they still keep coming through AD’s in 2025.

If I was going to spend house money on one those it would be the Rainbow in RG, not a watch that looks like Stainless Steel

Dearartifact on Insta just got a WG Le Mans from AD. There are more than 1800 ADs, I just don't imagine an AD giving one to a client before keeping at least one. Some people on Insta got these without having the huge spend claimed by some, for sure there are over 100 pieces produced so I hope nobody gets tricked into paying ridiculace grey market prices for a WG ceramic Daytona because it has a red 100 on the bezel.

I also identify as someone who spells properly, at least until I loose my train of thought.

It's Le Mans, not Lemans.

I'm leaning towards the Rainbow.
Having had the chance to see and handle it, I can say it's truly breathtaking. Photos simply don't capture its beauty.
While the LM is appealing, if I'm investing in a watch at that price point, I prefer something that's bold, thrilling, and one-of-a-kind.

I’d buy the Le Mans over the Rainbow. That said, I respect the heck out of someone who can pull off the Rainbow. I’m simply not cool enough.

What do you think and why.

My Thoughts are they have been making These Rainbows for years in every shade of gold and look a bit like jewellery with all them stones on them .

Le Mans looks more like a man’s watch and with a clear case back unique movement , Only produced for 9 months ,

Both are amazing but the LM is my choice , next question would naturally be White or Yellow.

Still produced, now with the current Daytona movement, though a Rolex boutique manager said he hasn't yet seen one in person.

On chrono24 I counted more than 30 pieces for sale, real just over 20. Prices go down because the requests are too high. I don't think a new piece can be sold for more than 150, used max for 100. Raymbow ? There are 2/3 different reference numbers, old caliber , new , there is a great choice, more than le Mans. Gold will never be worth more than platinum

New one wow! Do you think the hour markers will be more narrow?

My AD said that the Rainbow had been discontinued and is no longer available even to order as off catalogue along with the WG Le Mans.

Hi Lee ,

Do you think this is due to all these new Daytonas with Diamonds etc that arrived at W&W 2024 . It would be a very lucky client who got either of the above at retail .

Not a problem I have, sadly, but an interesting thought nevertheless. Is it a $1m watch one day?
To answer that, would need to know how many were made. Don’t know that we will ever have a reliable and accurate figure. I doubt they did a run of 175 like the Tiffany 5711.

Time will tell if any of these supposed new Rainbow models actually get delivered. I'll continue to ask the boutique manager from time to time when I see him. The (off-)catalogue pics in my last post, along with his statement, sure make it seem like they should start appearing sometime in the coming months. But who knows? Maybe in 30 years these will be the equivalent of blueberry bezel inserts.

Don’t stay too high on your horse…

All of them are jewelry. The brand itself has been partnering for jewelers for decades. When they went bigger over the last 25 years and shinier with each iteration, that’s what they are.

When a precision measuring instrument is made in white gold and they are charging $50,000 for it…

They’re tool watches for us tools.
