There is a bracelet for sale on WUS and I am sure you could get one here eventually. I'd try and buy it from the AD and you could always have it brushed if you like. I'd try the PCL for a while first.

Op, I would enjoy the gift and wear it in good health, see how the oyster bracelet feels on you? You may like it after all? You can always buy a jubilee later or some other bracelet rubber in green/black mix it up. No drama or exchanges or bad feelings.

Mine was ordered in May 2022, scheduled to arrive in September 2022 and finally fitted at the Mayfair RSC in January 2023. My understanding is that stock is very tight.

Walk into any gray with a brand new jubilee bracelet and ask to swap for a brand new oyster.

They will probably do it on the spot and you’ll be on your way in 10 minutes.

A jubilee is worth more to them in dollar value.

I bought this watch on jubilee but have switched it to oyster, I actually prefer it on oyster so I get where you are coming from.

I suggest you wear it for a while then see how you feel. You might be pleasantly surprised.

What a kind gift! You are blessed. Buy the oyster bracelet and then you’ll have the option of wear both as they are a simple task to swap out. I do this with my Skydweller and I also have a super Jubilee that I sometimes swap with my other references on oyster.

Jubliee vs oyster doesnt make that much difference in my view. At the end of the day its the same watch. As i said above, you can always get a oyster for it from an ad or rsc. Worst case (they dont want to sell you or not in stock or whatever), you should be easily able to source one in the gray market.

Extremely generous gift. Accept the gift and give it some solid time on the wrist (30 days or so). You may find that by giving the jubalee a chance you actually love it. If not keep and and purchase the oyster separately. The watch you had hoped to buy is now being gifted so spending a little $$ on a dif bracelet shouldn't be a big deal. Enjoy!

My VTNR came on Oyster but I wanted some versatility because my other pieces also had Oyster bracelets, so I ordered a Jubilee (got lucky I guess). The way it catches / reflects light, its comfort level and the fact I don't have to worry about scratching the polished center links, has it seeing the majority of time on the piece.

Just buy the spare bracelet from RSC or ask your family members AD to order it for you. It’s a gift and you were already willing to spend the money on the watch. An extra 1-2k for the bracelet is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I've always been an "oyster guy" but will wear it on the jubilee for a while since my stepfather is a "jubilee guy" and it will remind me of him. Looking forward to trying it on my left and right to see which I end up preferring.

It's a bit tight and will need 1-2 extra links, but I was able to obtain a 97200A (ss brushed/sub bracelet w glidelock) from my AD, which I may try some time later on. VTNR shown here near some local "art" near my place of work in major metro inner city neighborhood.
