White gold gmt - 24 hr hand for travel and a flip lock for water activities.

Stealth since most will think it's a steel piece but those in the know will appreciate the blue dial.

For me, without an ounce of hesitation, it's the DD40. Specifically in YG. I understand it is no longer the case for most, but when I was growing up - and perhaps where I grew up - it was the epitome of success. It's the watch I grew up seeing on the wrist of my grandfather, my great-uncles, their business associates, etc.

This is the right answer.

That said….

Since you mentioned “in budget” I’d go with the current WG sub. Secondary market pricing means I could trade my collection plus a small amount of cash or sell my collection retail to get enough to consolidate into a 126619LB.

To get into a meteorite GMT I’d have to add quite a bit so for my current collection value I’d go the sub route.

Silver dial OP (ss) is appropriate from black tie to boardroom, to dinner, to BBQ.

No one will notice it even if you wear it every day for decades.

Operationally, you can dive in it, fly in it, or climb a mountain in it, or use it as a ship chronometer to navigate the world.
