Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I did. It’s the SBGC249. Didn’t expect it to be so light considering how large the watch is (titanium construction)

45.3mm diameter & 15.9 mm thick? Doesn’t look thick at all when on the wrist though. Wears even more comfortably than my SBGE253.

That's a big boy! You do like large watches don't you! Nice that it's in titanium to keep the weight down. Looks like a sapphire bezel I'm guessing. That's a one-watch-to-rule-them-all sort of watch. Bad ass

Yes, it wears true to size. But the curved lugs make it hug the wrist and is thus very comfortable when worn.

The male end links extend the L2L to 52.5 mm though. I think that’s my only issue with this watch.

I don’t have a particular preference for large watches, it just so happens that this model has all the functions that I’d frequently use.

It is a sapphire bezel that is friction based? Doesn’t have any clicks when I rotate it.

I work in a time zone that is in a half hour offset so I can set the bezel to a sweet spot and ignore the minute hand when checking the reference time.

I really like the value proposition of Grand Seiko.

I know of no other brand that works harder for my money. Hand finishing on case, dial, hands and indexes. The movement finish is good for a mass produced watch.

SBGE253 will get less wrist time now.
