Thank you 🙏 didn’t had time to give it a proper shoot but I’ll keep them coming when I get some ideas for it.

The SD43 Official Owners Thread

Question for the SD43 owners out there. I apologize in advance if this has been asked and beaten to death before. Do you guys normally remove the divers extension or leave on?

I’ve had this watch for about 2 months now in my safe debating if I wanted to keep it or not. Finally sized it this morning for Thanksgiving. Love how it wears

Removed mine.

I took a picture of the extension while on a scale if you want to see the weight savings.

The latest CRM jeweler video on YouTube discusses increased production of models like the SD43, BLNR and James Cameron.

Yes sure, Rolex boutique advises to remove it as it helps balancing the watch perfectly well. Of course they advised so after asking me whether or not I’m going to dive with it.
Once removed The clasp will become much more comfortable.
Glad you decided to enjoy this watch, it’s made to live on a wrist not in a safe :-)

Thanks guys! I honestly think it’s comfortable as is so I can’t wait to remove the extension and see the difference

I think we will be able to say that after 20 years or more.
Timeless design in very modern proportions. Better than this is impossible.

Just wanted to touch base to dispatch what I believe to be a myth.

This watch does not “sink” into my wrist. I have a muscular, low fat build and this sits high.

This isn’t to say this is a negative thing. Just my reality.

I just wanted to clarify the perception I was getting from some posts alluding to the watch sitting flush.

Thanks for that! I've had my SD43 diver's extension off from day one, but didn't weigh it (now I know 188 grams).

I weighed my Omega Titanium Planet Ocean 9300 earlier today, and it was 172 grams with the Omega adjustable Ti clasp. My Speedmaster Pro with a steel adjustable clasp was 152 grams.

The Planet Ocean 9300 is even bigger than the SD43, although only good to 2000 feet not 4000, but the Ti subtracts quite a bit of weight.

And some people comment that the Omega Speedmaster is quite comfortable watch to wear, and yet it's only 40 grams lighter than an SD43 with it's dive extension.
