That's when the brain says, "you know you can do this" and your body goes, "not so fast, pilgrim"!

That was the army, Tyler. In terms of mission profile, our role was pretty close to that of the Rangers.

Cool stuff man. I'm taking a wild guess here that you were in the Australian Army? Maybe I am wrong. I probably am though.

Nah, that was the Singaporean army, Tyler. I've since migrated to Australia.

Hey like I said I need to brush back up on my military knowlege. Last year in social studies our teacher was a Vietnam veteran so you can believe we heard our fair share of war stories and everywhere he had been. It is some really fascinating stuff.

Yeah, all that stuff's good for beer sessions, but still, at the end of the day, as Yoda said, "Wars not make on great"!

I remember that picture from 1991 James. The disguise of the guy in the middle is still fantastic.

Ah, the Grampains - a must see every time we make the trip down under. My wife longs to go there in the years in between our trips, since she went there so much as a child. I can't say I blame her - fantastic country!

Great pics!

Ah yes, Adrian, I did finally catch up with him, and he was very disappointed that somebody managed to spot him.

Great pics!
Thanks, Al!

The Grampians, oddly enough, seem to be overshadowed by the Great Ocean Road.

When's the next time you're in my neck of the woods, Al? It'd be great to catch up!

Too bad I didn't know you better a year ago. We were on a plane heading your way on the 27th of November, 2004. All that flying and the only other WIS I met was some crazy Kiwi...... It would have been cool to meet you then.

I'm afraid we only make that trip every few years. The good news is we would not be far away, as my wife's father still lives in Ballarat.

I've done a good portion of the Great Ocean Road as well, but I go back to the Gramps time and time again......

Do you recall a family having several people drown at McKenzie waterfall in the Grampians last December? We were there the day before.......quite sad.

Yeah, I did hear about that incident. Awful stuff.

Well, the timing wasn't great back then anyway, because I was stuck in Singapore at the time - I only moved back to Melbourne this March. Let me know the next time you're in town and we'll definitely have to catch up!
