That's a dealer mistake, not an issue with the system. It actually snaps into place and locks there. He just didn't push the attachment far enough into the watch case to lock. I've used the system many times, and on more than one watch, and never had any issues.

My initial Santos had a defective quick switch lock on the strap. When I got home from the boutique, watch dropped on tile floor. Ran to the boutique the next day and received a replacement without any questions.

I bought the Santos blue dial on Saturday in London. It was in stock at the Cartier boutique but they only had one. I think that it's fairly easy at the moment.

Unless you're getting a LE, one shot, or Prive model, most of them are obtainable. You just may need to wait for a little bit if the model you want isn't in stock.

White Santos 40mm, 20% discount at my hometown's AD with no buying history. Available immediately.

I feel like the Dumont is a bit dressier. I don't really dress up anymore so this one does the job for me.

Nice! I usually wear mine on rubber on the weekend. Super convenient and easy with the QuickSwitch system. Also easy to size with the SmartLink system. Just all around a very well thought out watch by Cartier.

Just brought this home from the AD. It's the large ADLC. I'm so impressed. It's got to be the most comfort piece I own. Haven't tried out the leather strap yet because the rubber is so perfect.

Picked up a Santos large last week.

First watch I received was damaged. They swapped it out easily enough.

They only had this one strap which I felt was too light so I dyed it with some leather dye. Came out a little darker than I would have preferred but prefer this.
