Any thoughts on how the Bleu looks on a black strap rather than the default blue? I'm having a hard time working it out from photos; Instagram has a lot of photos but the lighting leaves it unclear on whether I am looking at black straps or blue straps!

That said I i find it much more interesting on straps that contrast browns and greens, mostly anything else.

That is true but the uncertainty of Kari just makes me want to get one while I can’t. I don’t see the waiting list slowing down any time soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sorry, what do you mean? Who's waiting list? What particular model has a wait for you?

Almost every watch Kari has is made to order. So if you order a watch through them they put you on a list until they start production of your piece Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In my experience though the wait times I've been quoted have been very reasonable, so as long as you don't need your watch tomorrow time has never been a factor for me, and special FP Journe pieces can take 12 months too. I just keep seeing too many nice FPJ pieces... and the one issue I have with Kari is that as he makes so many unique watches I don't find KV a brand I want to build a collection around. |

Wow! That blue Voutilainen is my dream watch. I especially love the versions with blue optical illusion dials. But I would need to have a very good year for a purchase of that magnitude. Just happy to see something so beautiful from time to time. Enjoy!

If the CB is the common first FPJ for most, what is the best second Journe to get?

Thanks.
Which CS? Am enamored by pics of the Centrigraphe. Hope to hold one in the metal one of these days. CO is the Optimum? Why do you think it first best? What is the TV? The vertical? Has the TN been discontinued? Not fond of the tourbillons. Among the complications (and Journe like any fine watchmaker seems to do all well), i now find myself drawn to the chronographs. Probably because of the interactive aspect and immediate feedback. |

I picked up a CB a few days ago. (That was quick!) I absolutely lurve it. I also like the look of the CS Black Label. And the Vagabondage II and Vagabondage III are delightfully whimsical.

Not from AD. I posted on the WTB forum and got in contact with a seller. It pained me to pay a premium over retail, but I really wanted this one and there was absolutely no other way. Attempting to get my name on the several-year-long waiting list with the AD was an exercise in futility and almost laughable. This piece is far scarcer than any steel PP and though I won’t disclose my purchase price, I feel okay with it. I believe the grey price is only going up, but I wouldn’t even care if it went below retail. This watch will never leave my collection and I will wear it and enjoy it regularly. The look, feel and build quality is on another level from any PP or Rolex in my collection. I feel like it’s my first real “time piece.”

FP Journe and Patek
I have always been a Patek collector, but I am really have begun to like FP Journe watches. - some of the Patek’s I have and love are the 5270, 5980 1R and the 5524R this tends to be my style. I look at them as investments, so if it’s not hard to get it’s no fun! Of course the 5524R used to be hard to get, but let’s not talk about that one dropping in value like sinking ship. Any advise as to which ones are the good ones to invest in would be appreciated?

Hello and thank you in advance. I'm fascinated by FP Journe's movements in 18k gold. My understanding is that each watch is also made from start to finish by a single watchmaker at Journe. I find these two aspects very appealing. What other watchmakers making 500-1000 pieces per year or so can compare?

No longer available from the boutique - black dial and 6N rose gold a great combination.
