Bringing my KS in soon too. How is parts availability for these old KS, GS and Lord Marvels?
On another note it's seeming impossible to find a bracelet or even end links for my Navigator. Found something on ebay that may fit though so hopefully that pans out. |

It depends on the specific model, but generally speaking it's surprisingly easy to find movement parts and crystals and seals on ebay. Do an eBay search for your model, then filter by lowest price, and available parts come up first on the list.

Grand Seiko 5722-9990 from 1965. Still runs like a beast (284/0.1) after 53 years.

Very cool watch. Probably very futuristic for it’s time. Seems like it could have been used in an episode of “Lost in Space”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I took it to a local independent. As of now he charged me $220 which isn't bad at all, but that's pending parts so hopefully it just needs a disassembly, clean and lube.

Not bad at all. Mine have never needed more than that, though I sometimes give the watchmaker the correct Seiko caseback and crown gaskets to install with the watch, if I can find them online.

Woah. That is a real beauty. My birth year, too. I would love to find one like that. Very nice, Adam.

Thanks Ronnie. Under a loupe I found some lint wrapped around the hand stack, and it needs regulating, so I'm taking it over to Michael Young for a service this week, rather than try and deal with those things myself! Probably need it anyway, as there are no service markings in the caseback.

I'm looking to add a chrono to my collection in the near future and I'm having such a hard time settling on one. Right now it's between 6139-6040 6138-8020 6139-7080 |

Wow, this piece ^ looks almost brand new. Nice crisp case and possibly the original bracelet? Beautiful Seiko, EDL7.

Thx cajunron & Old Expat Beast!
The watch has plenty of marks on it..pic looks nice though.. Wish I had kept the box and receipt back in 75..as I left it at the jewelers with a couple of extra links..told them I didn't need them..lol.. Didn't wear it for almost 40 years though..except for the occasional chrono use..then 2 years ago got back into wearing watches..and bought a Rolex OP for everyday.. And serviced the Seiko..w/new crystal.. And I'm back in business.. |

Just picked up this Business-A model from 1967 in incredible condition. The perfect watch for the ambitious young Japanese executive of a half century ago
