Great pics on this thread.
Does anyone know why the 5711R was discontinued?

My guess is that they adjust this and tweak that based on the market and what tends to sell best and what does not.

Thanks everyone for the compliments :) this thread isn't dampening my desire for a 5712 or a 5726! Just have a huge mental block on forking over so much for something in SS, and if I were to opt for precious metals, then other Patek models would be a lot more attractive.
I wear the Rollies almost every single day and the Pateks only come out of the safe on very special occasions |

However everyone feels differently that's why they make so many different models.

Unfortunately, I recently passed on a BNIB double sealed 3712/1A with the square ears and 7 o'clock marker precisely because I was about to put down $40k on an SS Patek, albeit a very rare one, and was not comfortable with that notion. Add to the fact I could score a BNIB double sealed 5712/1A, which looks almost identical, for about $33k just made it that much harder to digest. |

Too bad my AD just had a 5712 which I first saw 2 weeks agao. Yesterday he said he had sold it to someone.
See I didn't care for the dials on this one, however the 5890 though kinda rocks my world. Call me a bulls eye fan.

tried on the aquanaut yesterday... has to be the best fitting most comfortable watch.
saw the new aquanaut travel time... this would have to be the first watch ive seen to reach grail status! fyi the Patek boutique in Tiffanys, NYC will be debuting the new Nautilus with the white dial on April 14 & 15 and i believe the aquanaut travel time... i think i will be going in the opposite direction that day
