This is in line with what I have been told to expect for 2024 - smaller sizes for ROO and more updates for the RO.

There seem to be 5 different shades of gold here. Which one? The case looks like standard pink gold.

Some posts on IG live that seem to suggest a new release will follow
https://www.instagram.com/stories/au...5obWU5eXJ0eWo5 Edit - never mind! Looks like it was for a show related to the concept release yesterday. Bummer! Last edited by Kiwi-cucumber; 24 January 2024 at 04:44 AM.. Reason: Update |

When I bought my code 1159 taupe yesterday, my SA told me actually the real name is described as « sand » by the manufacture. In the papers it is indeed written « sand dial ». I told him : so is this the new « sand gold » that will be released and he didn’t answer. Later he told me that it is crazy that this information is already known because it shoudnt before february- match. So sand gold is coming but is this this color ? I would bet on that !

Does anyone think that the "AP" logo will again be included on the Royal Oak models? I kind of preferred it on the chronographs.

Nope, they've unified their design language, would be a step backwards.

I agree that it’s sorely missed. As Gandor said, I think it’s very low likelihood - they literally unified the design language for the 50th anniversary going forward.

I like 52 week indicators. Great part about their perpetuals IMO.

Heard from some VVVIPs that they have been attending a private event to preview the next season of watches. The launching shouldn't be far off. I'm a bit excited, but I bet next year is the 150th anniversary, so nothing should be too surprising this year.

Wonder what next year will bring. They already changed the design language of the RO, so hopefully just some cool complications. But don’t see it being bigger than the RO 50th. They already did the fundamental overhaul on all models (no AP logo, thinner bracelet, galvanic growth script, etc.).

Did I say that out loud?! Seriously though, when FHB was in charge, the thought had previously occurred to me that if there was a brand to try an interesting “smart watch” hybrid of some sort, then it would be AP. For sure there would be backlash from some, but FHB wouldn’t give a sh#% in the name of innovation and legacy. Ultimately, I think it’s too soon / unnecessary to entertain such innovation now…but I wonder what AP may offer for next generation. Forgive me, this was a bit much out of scope. |

Indeed, can see it in Tapatalk, but not in browser on my laptop. Odd - might have to do with the not particularly trustworthy looking link to the photo.

I get why they use the previous metal plots for the quick change strap but I find it breaks the continuity in the all black look, don’t love it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
