I quite like this edition, congratulations, enjoy it and don’t let a few politicized posters detract from your Beautiful Watch Purchase!

I come here to talk watches, be supportive of others in this hobby, and escape a little from the real world. Not to be told by keyboard warriors with a holier-than-thou attitude that my purchase is tantamount to supporting child molesters.

Your attempt at helping & supporting the previous poster’s point of view is not helpful either. This is beyond sickening.
First of all I wasn’t accusing anyone of doing or being associated with anything. I was merely making a point about reputational damage. I apologise and will delete the post if I can

The timing of of any type of Harrods special release, your watch being an example, couldn't be worse. How was anyone (apart from those involved) supposed to know in advance?

It’s not the watch’s fault or a buyers fault! Did that seriously come out of your fingers!

You are normally a sensible poster but you are having a shocker and being called out for it.

It’s not the watch’s fault! Classic.

This must be one of the most limited Tudors out there. I'm not sure how many FXD MN21s were made - but it must be more than 175. I know that 300 Royal protection Black Bay 58 blue 2022 watches were made and only a very few have hit the market making them very expensive but this Harrods 175 is far more limited than that.

I’m not mad about this one. Like the bracelet and T fit but it’s expensive even with a splash of gold imo. also, the negative connotations of Harrods and that skanking old pervert “Al” Fayed leave a sour taste in the mouth even if his association is a tiny fraction of the store’s history.

The same may not necessarily be true of all the current employees.

It is appropriate to include this in any discussion involving Harrods and it will devalue the watch's image if not its monastery value. Of course, anyone buying one is not implicated in the scandal, which should go without saying, although my BB Harrods is staying in the safe because right now I wouldn't want to be associated in any way with the retailer. When the settlements are settled, apologies have been made, enablers have been called to account, and some kind of justice has been seen to be done I'll wear it again, probably.

Haven’t always agree with Harry (as is part of the charm of a watch forum) but he speaks sense here. The timing of this could not be worse - massive own goal for the company imo. A massive own goal. And I know this is escapism but how dare anyone else tell years on here how they must be able to differentiate the man, the brand the watch. Who knows how the hierarchy works, who turned a blind eye and is complicit….! Behaviour like this is it seems as common now as it ever was and I am appalled by the timing of this.

Yes. So did "monastery value" in an earlier post saying essentially the same thing, albeit in my usual long winded way. One was a typo but I'm not saying which.

My minor remedial contribution, branding aside, is that it would probably look better on a TT bracelet.

Yes I did see that but thought I would let it slide.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying that the watch or anyone buying one is not involved in this affair. In that way I agree with you too.

All the best.

Yes, but most of the history that members here will be aware of.

I have no dog in this fight. Just saying. Anyway, as a watch it’s not for me, but congrats to those who have and are enjoying it.

Unless you live in UK and have been a Harrods customer for a long time and still , even then your chances are slim, you will never see one of these. A nice piece for sure..

I read up on what happened at Harrods and it’s horrible , how that type of behavior went on for so long and nothing was done to stop it. He should been locked up, regardless of his wealth and power. These people that believe the rules don’t apply to them, need to be punished like everyone else.

I feel for the victims.

Because it was widely reported that he began using “al” in the 1970s as a way of increasing his social standing. “House of” Fayed.

Though that being said I guess everyone with an aristocratic connotation to their name would have had to start using at some time or another.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more incomings for this piece - nothing on YouTube and not even a mention in the watch press. Seems it really has been a discrete release just for certain Harrods customers.
