SUPER Review!!!

Does the "rolexrolexrolex" in the bezel come only in the 40mm? Or does it also come in the 35mm and 29mm?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,

I am new to this site and am considering a new 2 tone Yachtmaster. It was mentioned that the center links were solid in the Platinum version, but my AD said the bracelet in the 2 tone has not been upgraded to the solid center links. Is he blowing smoke up my you know what?

Thanks,

Hi everyone, I had a very interesting time reading all the informative contributions. I just bought my first Rolex, a SS/PL YM, last month from an AD in Milan. My watch has the 'ROLEXROLEXROLEX' engraved ring. What I find confusing is that my warranty card list the serial no. as Y15xxxxx. I'm very curious about the 'shelf age' of my watch. Anyone can shed some light on this?

Thank you!

8 total digits means it's a random serial..This is the latest numbering system and means your watch is the latest off the press from Rolex!!
Enjoy and welcome to the boards!

Just got a nice mint 2nd hand 16622 today. LOVE IT! Actually was choosing between the YM and a Royal Oak 15300, but I found the RO a bit too formal or serious looking. In other words, not "me." Well, not yet anyway. Maybe when I'm older. Lol

These photos inspire horological lust. I must start saving for one of these as soon as my last Rolex is paid for.

I have "upgraded" from a Ladies DJ to a 35mm YM...and I'm never looking back!
When deciding between a midsize and full size one, I noticed that the 40mm's dial did not Sparkle...and side by side could not hold a candle to the 35mm's sandblasted dial.
I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who would actually prefer the look of the smoother dial on the YM...

The 40mm dial of the YM I tried on (and am buying) has an irridescent sparkle.

Hi Philip,
"sparcky's post about the smoother finished dial represents what I saw at my AD; There must be some newer YMasters-2010, which have this finish.

I am considering a YM, and was wondering the cost of the platinum dial if it needs to be replaced due to the lume or anything else, along with the bezel.

Since they are both platinum I was wondering how much a service could cost as I decide on my 1st Rolex purchase!!!

I asked about the bezel at the local rsc and the lady said they'll send it to Geneva to have it restored all for free. This would likely take a few months tho.

Not sure about the dial.

I tried GMT IIc (116710) Braclet witch similiar to the 116622 bracelet and it fitted perfectly to the 16622

I'm really impressed with the quality of these Rolex Yachtmaster images. especially like the photo that showcases the lume.

Can anyone confirm which year or what serial number prefix they started making the solid links on the bracelet? I've read 2008, then 2010... Getting some conflicting answers!
