I own a Y-serial 14060m that was purchased in 2002 and has yet to be serviced (or need servicing). It still keeps time within COSC spec.

I had my GMT serviced in late 2013. It stopped on me this past August and is now at RSC NYC. I hope, and requested, to be told what caused it to stop (mainspring….). That info was not included on the estimate but will hopefully be provided at some point.
I was quite surprised that it just stopped completely with almost no warning. The only thing I noticed was that the power reserve seemed to be getting shorter in the last year.

16710 and 14060 T serial's 25 years old and never serviced. Both run great. I'll never understand when people say 'due for service'

21 years. Runs +10 a day so I set it every Saturday. No big deal.

I'm embarrassed to say my 2000 116528 YG Daytona has never been serviced. It runs beautifully and I've hesitated to let RSC even touch it. I have a bunch of all manner of watches and wear them all so this one has had the equivalent of just a few years of actual wrist time. I guess it might be time but I am nervous...

My better half just got gifted a lady datejust from her mother a couple days ago. I popped the bracelet off and ran the serial and it’s from 1984. Asked her dad and he said he only got it serviced once in 1988. I timed it over a couple days and it’s running around -15/day. I’m pretty impressed with it but still gonna send it in for a good cleaning all around. The amount of skin dirt in the endlinks was disturbing lol

I had an old 1680 gold Sub that went 40 years with no service and the inside looked brand new. I posted some pics here years back from the service. The watch also ran perfectly fine before I sent it in with no issues. I think Rikki might even have done the service for me. In fact pretty sure he did.

15 years with a TT Sub worn a lot. In fact it ran non stop on a winder or wrist the entire time. It didn’t even need a routine service but I sent it to Rikki anyway. Didn’t need anything beyond the routine stuff. Rikki said it looked great inside. Pretty impressive for a watch that runs non stop for 15 years.

PS I went almost ten years on a sub, the estimate for service was almost a grand (the bearing for the rotor finally failed).

9 1/2 years on my 2007 16613LB before it needed its first service. It was my daily and was worn day in day out and never babied. ( but I do have a desk job so…)

1 month over 9 years for my GMT II, the mainspring broke so I thought it’s time it was serviced, generally worn 5 days a week since my wife bought it me back then,

Got a call today from the AD to say it’s ready for collection after around 6-8 weeks away

Like pretty-well everything, it is just a combination of luck and the work it does.
My 'D' Serial ('04 - '07) 14060M had a full RSC service in 2013 as it wasn't keeping good time ($1100.). It had the Pallet Forks replaced in 2016 (free), and stopped working early this year necessitating a "complete overhaul". ($1100.)
A mate has a 5 digit LV and a 6 digit GMT, neither of which has had a service and both of which keep good time. Just the "luck of the draw".

White Dial Steel Daytona bought new in 2010. I'll be taking it in soon. Was going to take it in while on vacation in 2019 but wanted to wear it overseas.

I have (3) Rolex watches that I purchased between 2007-2009 & I have not serviced any of them yet. No problem with any of them. I pray nothing to them because I want them to stay all original.

I know someone who hasn't serviced his steel Sub for 35 years.

It still keeps good time, but looks terrible and the bezel rotates in both directions.

Took it into RSC today. $1k CDN to service and $120 for a new crystal. $1320 out the door and hope to have it back on my wrist in 8 weeks

I had a 16570 Exp II , bought it new on 2003 , sold it to friend back in 2017 , never serviced it, was keeping great time and had no issues and it was worn every day, I recommended him to send it in but he decided to rock it as is ,so now it has 18 yrs with no service and still keeps great time.

Of all my Rolexes the only one I've serviced is the Blue 16613..Just checked the papers and bought it in 1999 and guilt serviced it in 2007.

I don't have really any idea how accurate or not any of them are when it comes to seconds, as I rotate them. Even if I didn't not even sure how to..lol.

I feel less guilty after reading this thread as most of them are from 2000-2007..

I remember how amazed I was when I got the 16613 back freshly polished..I remember how I used to care about scratching and how now I only care not to bang into things too hard with any of them...

Haven't looked at any papers in a very long time!

I got my first Rolex 19 years ago. Not one of mine have been serviced. Only watch I ever had to have serviced was an AP ROO Diver when the crown fell out. I got rid of it upon return.

Great thread OP - the longest I have left a Rolex watch unserviced is 17 years. There is a backstory though. The place I lived had no Rolex service center in the country. I returned to civilization but still didn’t service the watch for another 5 or so years. The watch started to lose time and function erratically. Curiously, I would wind it completely and it would run perfectly within cosc specifications for 4-5 days, but sometimes would just stop for no reason.

It ended up being the autowind rotor bearing had failed.

While not condoned on TRF, I am of the “if it ain't broke don’t fix it” where watches are concerned. Why? Well RSC will replace everything in the movement at service that is no longer serviceable for their fixed price. So I see it is a waste of time to pay for 5 yearly services.

40+ years - 18078 - was daily worn Watch for the first 10 years. Since then only worn a couple weeks per year. Never displayed signs of needing service. Sent to RSC in 2020.

15-20 Years - 16622 - My daily for 10 years. No signs of needing service. Sent to RSC in 2030 with above.
