Market going crazy and most of us are so wrong lol. I remember when white dial Daytona was 25k and thought that was ridiculous high. Now no grey would sell one at that price.

Haha - I think platinum Rolex will continue to sky-rocket and command the same premium as ALS, PP platinum watches. The reality is the weight is fantastic and they scratch much less that Gold.

I made a post a few months back... I think these could be the new hype piece from Rolex.

Once the YouTubers get it and think it is exclusive, the sky is the limit just like on the Rainbow Daytona. Beautiful watch to wear, but also a great InVeStMeNt like BITCORN

Well today as now all Rolex watches are thought of by many as little more than ££$$€€ OBJECT THINGS AND NOTHING MORE, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

You got it totally wrong my friend. Peoples opinions do matter.
However people that frequent this forum and their opinions have very litte effect on the market as they are a very miniscule fraction of Rolex buyers.

I think there's a big different between staying collectable and a short term (5-10 year jump in prices). That's obviously very hard to forecast for any collectable item and usually what's popular now is not what's popular later even within a category.

I'm hard pressed to feel for example that modern gold AP's that are currently hot will still be hot 20 years later. I say this as a platona lover and even after 4 years since this thread started, I remain skeptical people will still love the color combination many years later.

I also do find it amusing that those who hated the color combination have largely disappeared as the value has gone up.
