Correct. A white faced Daytona is about as interesting and significant as a BMW 3 series.

I'd take a Speedie anyway over a Daytona

You can’t go wrong with either. I love the look of the skydeweller along with its very complicated movement. The downside for my is that the skydweller is so much more robust. The larger size is needed to hold the more complex and larger movement. In comparison the Daytona is smaller in width and height but still holds a 40mm case as it holds the less complicated and smaller 4130 movement.

For me the size needs to be considered and tested. When I placed a sky on my wrist recently it was just a touch too big for everyday comfort. Too tall and heavy. The width wasn’t that bad.

Also - the date and month could be features the Daytona lacks that makes you dissregsrd the size of it matters at all.

Now the Daytona - We’ll the Daytona is timeless and looks perfect on any wrist

How long will you be waiting for both? That may also be a factor.

The two ADs I buy most of my watches from have both gotten significantly more Daytona’s than SkyDwellers. One of them has yet to receive one stainless steel SkyDweller....

I am taken with the white dial Daytona.
But for me it would have to be the Sky-Dweller.

Well depends if you use the date function often or not. If so get the sky it’s an awesome watch.

Exactly this! (Or at least the first three points...)
I had been in search of a white Daytona C for a while and then came across a white SkyD. I am very happy and feel it is the superior choice IMO.
Now I have yet to put on a Daytona but I am a larger guy and the 40mm just seem small on me so doubtful I will like it as much.

I currently own a as blue SkyDweller and am in the process of getting a white DaytonaC to try on (I'm comfortable with my hulk, but am told that the Daytona wears smaller than a sub).

My predicament is that I own 3 blue dials, green, black and no white dials. If the Daytona feels substantial on my wrist - I hope to fill that gap with it.

The sky dweller has a useful complication (annual calendar, 2nd time zone).
The Daytona is better looking IMO.

The SkyD wins for me, but I’m really not a fan of the fluted bezel. I wish Rolex would release a non-fluted version like their DateJust.

Not a fan of the fluted bezel on the Skydweller, looks too much like a datejust.

I'd go for the Daytona because of better wearability and more of a classic piece.

What do you guys think? Skydweller or Daytona?

Skydweller for sure. It’s harder to get a Skydweller blue dial than a Daytona stainless steel and I love the 42mm compare to a 40mm
