126710 BLRO GMT Master II Pepsi - color

Here is my BLRO in different lighting conditions

Top photo - BLRO purchased April 2019

Bottom photo - same BLRO purchased April 2019 (yes same watch)

I can’t say older ones weren’t even lighter, but my top pic looks every bit as washed out (almost milky-blue) as ones I have seen posted circa 2018.

Agree with you - still looks washed out in the sunlight.

Dunno why they cant make it vibrant deep color.

Here are a couple of pictures of mine:

All the same watch delivered March 9th by my AD. On IG I did a poll with the 2nd pictures - half said it was a MK1 and half said it was a MK2.

I've held a July 2018 one next to mine and there is a very very slight difference I could see in person. Though I think it's fair to say there is a lot of overlap in the colour spectrum both present.

There you have it, definitive polling results

I agree, that perhaps there’s a spectrum of colours based on when the bezels have been produced.

I’m calling mine an MK1.5 (purchased Nov 2018).

There are at least two different bezel colors and it's not the lighting as some have suggested. I have a couple of watch friends that have the new Pepsi, one with the older bezel and the other with the newer bezel. I was lucky enough to handle both at the same time. They are different.

Everyone can believe what they want to, but I know what I saw first-hand.

Throwing my thoughts in, now that I have first hand knowledge....
Coming from the perspective of a 116719 from mid 2018 vs a 2 week old 126710....they’re close, and can be mistaken, “in pics” for....
big difference or exactly the same.
I see both sides of the argument when looking at pics. Side by side, to my eye...they’re close, but DEFINITELY a difference

I like the MK1 blue better and the MK2 red better. How do I get that version?

For those that have seen both together in person, is there a big difference? I'm tempted to pick up a MK1 now because it seems that given they switched the insert colors, it would be worth more down the road, but if it's extremely subtle, people might not care.

I thought so, #2 is deeper rich colors, loved it.

I picked mine up 2 days ago. It was delivered to the AD in April 2019 and the colors appear deeper than earlier versions. I actually prefer the deeper colors.

I have seen both (I have the Mk1) and the difference is quite significant, unless you’re colour blind it is definitely not subtle.

Aren’t I glad I don’t have that problem!

Ironically there doesn’t seem to be any debates on different variation of production with the BLNR. I personally believe that the production of these is down to a science and the time they bake the bezels in the oven is controlled and automated, such that Rolex won’t have such variations. If there are different bezel, then it’s due to a deliberate change to improve the otherwise pinkish purplish hue.

My BLRO next to my new Steinhart 39 Batman

And my BLRO today at the grocery store

[url=https://flic.kr/p/2fJ2nks]

It's a chameleon for sure but definitely will never hit the awesome blue of the Batmans!

Here is mine form May 2019. It certainly looks like a MKII on the first two pictures. However, on the last one under direct light from my desk lamp, it seems to look more like a MKI. What do you guys think?

what I dont understand is Rolex supposedly go through lots of bezels wasting them before being happy on each piece so why would they allow this clear deviation into the market??

I just got my Pepsi on sep 30 2019 from my AD. The very first feeling is that it looks like a Coke, not a Pepsi. Under the bright lighting in the AD, the super dark navy looks black, and the red is also deep and dark. Its bezel shows the same color under sunlight. I would say it is different from ones in 2018 or ones in early 2019. Maybe it is the mark 3 bezel.

When are we going to see price differences according to bezel color?
